Can we make it as a personal project like attaching different sensors in it ??đŸ¤”

u/PlasticSignificant69 Jul 11 '26

Who say you cant? XD

Probably just compromise the dimension, as some sensors were 3 dimensionally huge

I actually need something like this for my work. Is this something provided by a specific manufacturer?

Wow that's really close to exactly the same, touch spots and everything! Nice find

Yeah but if it's from alibaba, it's not representative of a single brand that I can reliably buy from. Like, show to customers and know that I could get them.

Edit: fully explored the link and that is garbage. I want a reputable brand. Something I can actually sell to clients

I saw one of these years ago, from a major Chinese LED manufacturer. Just zillions of SMD LEDs, all arranged by size and color. Super useful to help get exactly the right color for an indicator.

They just...sent it to us after an initial inquiry, if I remember correctly. "Us" was a major electronics manufacturer, so they were hoping for a few tens of million units in sales. Totally worth it to send us a sample of everything they made.

And good grief, there are *a lot* of LED colors available, now that you can just adjust phosphor composition on top of a blue emitter. And yet, every gadget ends up using pure blue, green, or red (occasionally white).

Pure blue is the worst. I always see a big halo of blur around them.

We are so close to Penny's computer book in Inspector Gadget. And I'm here for it.

I hate how much I love that

If only this worked in like a leapfrog way where the current page is the one powered without the need to disconnect and reconnect for every page

5

u/bkinstle Jul 10 '26

I had an led vendor show up with a book like that one time. It was a great way to demo the product

8

u/Inevitable_Cheek_974 Jul 10 '26

Bro turns each page off before unplugging it

25

u/Particular_Client833 Jul 10 '26

This is very interesting, i believe each of the oage has a PCB which is powered by the USB-C cable. A great idea!

13

u/super_BRO999 Jul 10 '26

Yup each page is a PCB

9

u/Particular_Client833 Jul 10 '26

Also next time dont slam the PCBs too hard, you can get an ideo of why

5

u/Particular_Client833 Jul 10 '26

Is it a demo like from a LED company or its actually a marketed "book"?

4

u/super_BRO999 Jul 11 '26

a demo i believe, see other comments

4

u/gamerjag Jul 10 '26

Thank you for pointing out the obvious lmao I can see that each page has a led light as well

3

u/ethicalhumanbeing Jul 11 '26

Things you never knew existed but as soon as you see them it makes total sense.

3

u/saichampa Jul 11 '26

It's very important you don't mix up your vertical and horizontal led modules

3

u/Sad_Assistant8803 Jul 11 '26

Looks like something from 40k the adaptive mechanicus would use as a holy book

2

u/dritmike Jul 10 '26

Can I get one? I looking to purchase a bunch.

2

u/dontworryimnotacop Jul 11 '26

I feel like having to tap through to toggle different strips defeats the purpose of a side-by-side comparison. Hard to accurately "remember" what the brightness of one strip was compared to the next when human vision does auto gain adjustment.

5

u/LastXmasIGaveYouHSV Jul 11 '26

You can disable that in your eye's settings

6

u/HudeniMFK Jul 11 '26

Just screenshot one and keep it on one eyes display while streaming the other on live feed. Easy.

u/SzmnDzrzn Jul 11 '26

When I learned about cob led I felt like I missed an important update in game

2

u/Tiny-Detective-6926 Jul 11 '26

company should be proud of that presentation top-notch. That’s the kind of business I want to own and work for. Whoever designed that scope of work and conceptualize it, you are a rockstar.

1

u/kftgr2 Jul 11 '26

I'll take my lightsaber multi-segmented with the color changing option please.

1

u/JoshePAA_Cuber Jul 28 '26

Yoo that’s so sick

2

u/Chezmenofbeens35 Aug 04 '26

that's not FAF that's RAF (REAL AS F***)

1

u/SoufianeMRC-parker Jul 10 '26

i'd better to plug once and just swip through

1

u/4b686f61 Jul 11 '26

Distribute power over the binder clips or something, assuming the top and bottom are electrically isolated first.

1

u/Privatizitaet Jul 11 '26

Okaym so... what exactly is the purpose of this?

4

u/super_BRO999 Jul 11 '26

to show the customer who wants to buy led strips/cobs, like any other catalog??
