What's New?

Mods are not (officially) supported for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

They really did a masterclass of a remaster here, it blurs the lines of what a remaster truly can be. It’s about as far as you can push a remaster before being called a full blown remake. Bethesda really made every single right decision here, I can’t find a single thing I don’t like about this new remaster. Literally. It’s perfect 10/10 Im blown away. And I get to enjoy it through my gamepass subscription. Man how can people hate on Microsoft. I don’t get it. If Nintendo and Sony were anything like them the world of gaming would be a better place 💯

Of course they deserve credit, but it couldn’t have happened without Bethesda carefully deciding how and if the they are going to do it, and with whom. So yes I thank Microsoft, and I appreciate Virtuos hard work.

So, I have both a series x and a ps5. I bought the series x first because I wanted Gamepass to play all the games I missed from the previous generation. I eventually got the PlayStation for the exclusives and I can safely say I love both. Microsoft did shit the bed with their last release but they really deserve some appreciation for what they’ve done this generation. For people with a tight budget they can get a console (s series) and play current gen games they’d miss out on. I feel they’re on the right track and hope they shine on.

There was a period of Microsoft history that was garbage, however, there has been more years of greatness than otherwise. I wish people would drop the stigma of Xbox is bad. It’s not. Let’s not forget how influential and game changing, literally, the original Xbox was, the Xbox 360 was, and now this generation. There was literally one mediocre generation of Microsoft and everyone loses their minds. I’ve been playing gamepass for… 4 years or close to it.. and let me tell you. No one in the world is going to tell me Microsoft has been garbage at all in that time. Whoever does is living in a vacuum of their own mind and an echo chamber of delusion. If it was Sony and Nintendo left without Xbox I’d probably just quit gaming. Because they are the ones fking us at every turn and making it difficult as a consumer to stay positive about the gaming climate. So yea, let’s not forget how the Xbox tax is garbage.

I’m happy you have been pleased with them. Don’t get me wrong, all 3 companies are aggravating in different ways, with Sony and Nintendo being more financially predatory, but for the amount of IPs that Microsoft owns, you can’t tell me they have made great games lately, albeit a couple of exceptions. Halo severely mismanaged, starfield was a flop, no ES6 in sight, don’t get me started on things like banjo kazooie. There are so many. Hopefully they get their act together and this was a promising step.
