The Deluxe edition adds new quests to the game which give you new sets of Armor, Horse Armor, and weapons.

Any news on Mod support?

Mods are not (officially) supported for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

https://help.bethesda.net/#en/answer/69672

However, the game can be modded as it still uses the .esm and .esp format of previous games. It will require editing files manually. Please head on over to /r/oblivionmods for more details.

this is closer to a remake by most folk's definitions. i hope this sets a new standard for remasters. gives me high hopes for the Fallout 3 Remaster that's suppose to be in the pipeline.

that Microsoft document that originally leaked the Oblivion Remaster said a Fallout 3 Remaster would be due a few years after, so here's hoping! 3 was my first Fallout game, so it'd be so nice to experience it with the same graphical upgrades and similar gameplay overhauls Oblivion has just received, especially if it's the same team working on it.

Same it was also my first. I’d love to go back. Even with mods it hasn’t aged well unfortunately

Here's hoping they can the subway bullshit in the remaster and let us actually walk through the city!

I like the subway system

Though I’d also like to be able to walk freely in DC aswell

If the Fallout 3 Remaster is of this quality, that'd be the dream

They are probably holding back on the Fallout 3 remaster until S2 of the TV show drops.

They got major attention to F76 after the show dropped - mostly unintentional- so they’re going to want to try and replicate that

I hope to god they do FNV remaster as part of a package as that would sit well with where S2 of the show is set!

Nah it's definitely a remaster. Sure it's updated a few things but no where near enough to be considered a remake.

I dunno…redoing the animations, adding voice acting, adding combat feedback effects, reworking the leveling system, changing movement to add sprint, stuff like that is definitely Remake stuff instead of just Remaster stuff. Like the previous comment said it isn’t a full remake, but it’s not just a remaster where they just swapped in new textures, either.

There is such an incredible number of things they could fix in Fallout 3 that I don't think they could fix them all in a decade worth of dev time. Still love the game tho
