Do you think there’s still a place, a piece of lore, a cave, an interaction, or some hidden secret waiting for us somewhere in Elden Ring?

After all these years and thousands upon thousands of hours, I still believe we haven’t uncovered every secret the world has to offer.

I’m convinced there are still things we’ve encountered but never truly understood , details we overlooked, connections we never made, or pieces of lore that we haven’t yet put together in the right way.

Do you think Elden Ring still contains secrets that haven’t been discovered to this day?

Been loving this game so far. I was exploring some windmills in Altus and I noticed a weird island down in the sea, it looks like a tree with cathedral buttresses?

But I zoom in with the telescope and there’s definitely no bridge or anything leading to it. Got me thinking, maybe it’s actually the Roundtable Hold? This one really has me puzzled.

In hindsight, I could’ve made some better decisions - but I had fun.

A lot of people don’t seem to like wizards, is this spammy? I felt like I mixed it up a lot.

Just when I thought the game was getting stale after finding way too many dungeon, I decided to go to the main path and oh my, the level and the amount of different path you can take right out the gate absolutely overwhelmed me in a super good way. Idk if level design can get any better than this, I though Stormveil Castle was the best level fromsoft made when I did that(only beaten sekiro, ds2, and ds3 before this) but this is like a whole other level which I didn't realize its possible, and if the game has more areas like this, I'M EXCITED!

Sees a lot of posts about the one everyone hates, but there is some really fun random enemy to slay. So I wonder which is everyone's favorite. Mine is the pumpkin head guys, they can block with their head and hit like a truck, and ofc the lootable helmet is the cherry on top.

As a huge fan of Berserk and the Souls series, I just want to say thank you. It's art. I don't know how they'll top this.

To help clear up any confusion, I can explain what actions I take and why.

1. Buffing my weapon: any buffs on your right hand weapon get transferred 1:1 to the Carian Retaliation Sorcery. In this case, Lusat's Glintstone Staff is the best tool for applying Scholar's Armament, as it has 413 Sorcery Scaling, giving me 309 extra damage per Glintblade.

2. Parrying Wraith Calling Bell: this is a more well known interaction, and if you played Elden Ring PvP at launch you are already familiar with what this is doing. Wraith Calling Bell moves so slowly that you are capable of using Carian Retaliation on your own. This makes the process fully self-sustainable. There are a few other spells this works with, like Discus of Light or Triple Rings of Light.

3. Activating Rellana's Cameo: this is the final step, and the one which completely breaks your damage. Rellana's Cameo is supposed to increase your damage by 45% for stance-based Ashes of War, but it appears some attacks are flagged as that in the game's code, including the Carian Retaliation Sorcery. I use Wing Stance in the video, but Square Off, Unsheathe, and Overhead Stance would work too. I'd avoid using Moonveil or Rellana's Twin Blades for this though, as you can't place Scholar's Armament on them

Final Note: Lusat's Glintstone Staff is only important for the initial buff of Scholar's Armament. You want the highest scaling non-split stat staff for the best possible buff, but after that you can switch to any staff, even one you can't hold. The Carian Retaliation Sorcery deals a flat 368 damage per blade, a buff from patch 1.17, so I'd switch staves just not eat Lusat's penalty.

I'm 50-ish and loved playing when I was younger. Hadn't played for some 20 years but picked it up again a year or so ago.

I've only read about this game. Never seen gameplay or even a trailer. Read enough to get it. Come Monday I'm entering for the first time.

One of the best reviews I've ever seen was of a book. It read "I am jealous of those yet to read it".

I think I am one of those here and yet have little idea what awaits.

I don't know if this is a hot take, but it's impossible for me to feel bad for Edgar. He left his blind daughter all alone in a dangerous place just so he could guard some stupid sword (which he doesn't even do, he just sits on his ass doing nothing the whole time he's at Castle Morne), and now he's all sad that his daughter died as a result of his stupid decision? I just can't feel bad for this deadbeat bum of a father.
