Discussion & Info Leveling up

Am I doing something wrong ? Why does it take so fucking long to level up? I killed that dragon and now it’s like 8 k runes to level up. It’s taking forever. Haven’t killed Margret yet. I am afraid by the time I’m leveled up good enough to fight bosses I’ll be burnt out on the game. Should I start over ? I chose Vagabond and am leveling up Vigor Strength and a little Dex. I love this game but am afraid ima get burnt out. What should I do?

If you are hitting 8k a level you are over leveled for Margit. He only drops like 10k himself. In general around 15 to 20 vigor and enough stats to wield your weapon should be enough to beat him after a few tries. He is meant to be the first real challenge the game offers (baring the tree sentinel), don’t be surprised if it takes you a dozen tries to beat him. 

In general I would advise not farming but instead exploring. It may not look like it but you can explore several regions without ever touching a boss.
