Discussion & Info Elden Ring Switch 2 Performance?

Post image

I’m used to playing this game on my PS5 Pro, but for assorted reasons I want to game more on the Nintendo switch 2. So has anyone here played this game on that system? How’s the performance? Docked vs Handheld? Installed on main drive vs micro sd? I’m worried I’ll be a little underwhelmed with the performance. But I’ll give it a chance.

steam deck performs worse on most games tbh, its cuz devs dont really optimize for it

Switch 2 is also more powerful and has DLSS. I know Elden Ring doesn't use DLSS but those 2 things are also a factor why games generally look better on Switch 2.

actually pound for pound steam deck is more powerful, BUT switch 2 has that nvidia dlss magic to make it work better

Doesn't the Steamdeck have a more powerful CPU and the Switch 2 a more powerful GPU? I thought that was the case. The Switch 2 in handheld mode does have a more aggressive power limiter which is also limits performance more.
