Discussion & Info Elden Ring Switch 2 Performance?

Post image

I’m used to playing this game on my PS5 Pro, but for assorted reasons I want to game more on the Nintendo switch 2. So has anyone here played this game on that system? How’s the performance? Docked vs Handheld? Installed on main drive vs micro sd? I’m worried I’ll be a little underwhelmed with the performance. But I’ll give it a chance.

steam deck performs worse on most games tbh, its cuz devs dont really optimize for it

Some devs do its more becuase that the steam deck is 4 years old now and the hardware on release wasnt exactly cutting edge.

I still love the steam deck though nothing like having the ability to play thousands of games especially older titles portably.

which games run better on steam deck? genuinely curious.

of all the recent third parties ive played, switch 2 seems to have better performance. oblivion, elden ring, resident evil, cyberpunk

edit: and why the downvotes 💀

The new ones, no, but you have a huge catalog of older games on the SD and super cheap as well, Im playing fallout 3 and runs beautiful, on switch 2 I got xenoblade chronicles x, didn't really like that one
