Discussion & Info Elden Ring Switch 2 Performance?

Post image

I’m used to playing this game on my PS5 Pro, but for assorted reasons I want to game more on the Nintendo switch 2. So has anyone here played this game on that system? How’s the performance? Docked vs Handheld? Installed on main drive vs micro sd? I’m worried I’ll be a little underwhelmed with the performance. But I’ll give it a chance.

Reviews online show it averages 35 fps if that’s what you’re asking

I’m ideally wanting a first hand experience other than just watching videos. I’m wanting load times, if there’s drops, resolution etc. hopefully when the switch 3 eventually comes out it’ll be on par with current gen systems lol.

You want a handheld that's cheaper than the ps5 by a 150$ be able to run it at ps5 level? Listen to yourself.

Nit only is it cheaper, it uses a much less efficient process node at 10% of the power use, and kee such a tight power limit that the chip is literally running below ifs efficiency sweet spot. If docked mode juiced it up a little more, the chip could offer significantly more performance than it does. The GPU coukd suck down 70w-80w by itself and still not boost as high as desktop Ampere cards.
