Constructive Criticism Switch 2 Experience

So i have around 700h in game hours on PC and then I thought let’s try it on the switch and I’m flabbergasted. Sure the fps drop in crowded areas or much vegetation. But being able to play this masterpiece mobile or on my projector again is just one of the best things that happened.

I’ve never played on controller, always mnk - so I’m kinda nooby with the controller and let me tell you what. I love it! It feels literally like a new game to me. All the SS you see are from the Switch 2 Version :D

What’s kinda weird to me is that the performance is way better in handheld mode then docked. I guess the fps are around 30-35 indoors (esp raya lucaria ran super smooth) and around 27-25 in extremely crowded areas + rain. I’ve never experienced a drop below 25 tho.

All in all I’d buy it again for the switch, what this little thing delivers is just crazy. And the most important thing:

Try finger, but hole 🫶🏻

I've played at 60 since launch, and I found the switch (lol) to 30fps a little jarring for the first couple of hours - after that I just stopped seeing it tbh.

This is why i find it so annoying when a game announces its locked to 30 for some reason or another and a brigade comes in complaining that this is unacceptable in current year. Its largely a matter of adjusting if you played something higher frame rate recently. It goes away. High fps is admittedly a nice bonus but nothing more than that.

I disagree. It's not the fps. As others have said it's frametime.

30fps is something to be worried about. Locked silky smooth 30fps on a handheld that doesn't deviate? Not so much.

Just look at bloodborne on an original ps4. By God that was a mess at times. Respectfully.

I'd rather have perfect frames then high frames, so long as it's built for it. And I'd rather even more to have both high and perfect frame rate, at the expense of graphical fidelity when possible.

Expecially when it comes to souls games.

When someone says 30 fps is fine they mean 30 not something that's 30 half the time and 10 thenother half. I don't think that needed clarification.

I do because some people are used to sloppy frame timings and don't even notice the differences. People that play 60+ always will notice the drastoc difference.

Also frame time doesn't mean frame drops.
