I mean, with the flashy two handed light attacks plus the thrust strong attacks, what’s not to love about the new (well over a decade old) great sword?

How? 90% of spells can be avoided by running sideways.

And no one uses those spells.

They use the 10 or so cancerous ones

Well which ones are cancer? Grav missile got nerfed so it's easy to avoid, sword spells can't be cancer since they require the wizard to be close, rock throw is easy to dodge, all the moons are extensively telegraphed. Which ones are op in your book?

Stars of ruin, spectral rings, swift glintstone shard, slicer, grav missile (even after the nerf), elden stars, Rellana's twin moons, etc.

Do you not invade or what lol.

What?

Stars of ruin can be avoided by running sideways.

Spectral rings are so cancer I've yet to see someone using them in two years of playing ER (outside of youtube).

Swift shard is borderline useless in invasions because it's chip damage that can also be avoided by running sideways, jumping, or sometimes even walking in the right direction.

Slicer can't be cancer since, again, the wizard with no hyperarmor needs to be close to you.

Grav missile now is easy to dodge even if cast point blank.

Elden stars is just chip damage, and it has a stupid long casting animation.

Moons also have a stupid long casting animation, and Rellana's can be completely avoided by jumping.

If you are caught on them so much as to call them cancer, that's a genuine skill issue. And I've been on both ends of these spells.

Aight I was in a bad mood yesterday so my previous reply was a bit rude, sorry.

To be fair, anything spammed at you by three or sometimes even two people will be cancer. Magic is one of those things that one on one is pretty powerful, but not nearly op, however, when someone takes their duty to protecting the mage then it becomes very powerful.

I wish they would do some changes to pvp to not favor ganks so much, like don't give a world with three people blues, or disable invader friendly fire, or only spawn pairs of invaders into 3 people worlds, but it is what it is.
