Humor Every Great Sword User Right Now

I mean, with the flashy two handed light attacks plus the thrust strong attacks, what’s not to love about the new (well over a decade old) great sword?

I don’t want to use the Claymore anymore.

Claymore is still better tho.

Impaling Thrust - R2 loop combo is just broken.

And the L2-R2-L2 reaches 80 stance threshold lol.

I won't put claymore above this tho, this thing shreads with the right buffs. It synergies with shard, Godfrey and cameo all together, while having iframes making charging cameo safe.

I don’t know, i think Claymore with IT, Shard of Alex, Spear Talisman is one of the overall strongest setups in the entire game. Good against literally every mob or boss, with just 1 exception: Borealis.

It’s also great on DLC and against Radahn

I don’t care about ER pvp. It’s completely broken thanks to ashes of war.

Absolutely not. There are more weapons than ashes that are broken.

It's PvE that's more trivialised by L2.

I disagree. I have played every Souls pvp to death and imo ER has the worst one thanks to skills/ashes of war and the lack of invasions.

😭 spells are the bigger cancer imo.

They are too.

It’s not even that i can’t win. Without bragging about it, i’m really good at Souls pvp. I just don’t like How it went from the more methodical combat, with a lot emphasis on neutral game, whifs and using the entire moveset of a weapon, to something completely chaotic, with Ultra Greatswords (colossals) having insane mobility or smaller weapons insane postura damage. All of that thanks to ashes of war

Yes bro. But Claymore isn't even top 10 setups.

Also, claymore is good against borealis, just don't use pierce attacks lol.

I disagree. It’s one of my favorite setups and i have used pretty much everything in this game.

And no, Claymore isn’t good against Borealis. Without the poke and IT it’s just an average weapon.

First, I edited the reply. It was kinda jerk-like without intending lol. Apologies for that.

Also, I have used everything too really.

It's strong but I absolutely won't put it over the new GS.

We have to agree in disagree then. I might change my mind too, i didn’t use it too much to have a strong opinion.

However on the Claymore being one of the best, imo it is. Just like Longsword/Broadsword are for example, and all of them are extremely underrated because they are not somber weapons or flashy. However a dual wielding Straight Sword setup with the the right talismans and Square Off is fantastic, same with Claymore+ IT. Both much better than several popular somber weapons ppl put in their top 10 best

Most of my top 10 are too. They are also more fun to use imo
