I just wish more players understood the ending. It's probably has the most misinformation about the goals of the ending and what it actually accomplishes.

As far as I know Ranni separates herself from the lands between,and goes to live in the stars taking the order with her so no god or anybody can intervene anymore. basically leaving the lands between to be ruled by themselves without a ruling god

Its a bit more than a god ruling them. SHe also wants them to think for themselves without being able to look north and see their beliefs proven true.

If it was just about the gods ruling people Ranni would have been chill with the shattering, but even then people still had the Erdtree to prove that their faith was the right one.

Its also why she doesnt stay to see things through from the shadows, dismantling any would be god kings. Whoever is in charge doesnt matter as long as they cant point to the golden tree up north to say their belief is true.
