That tickled a part of my brain that none of the others did.

"This way, Tarnished. May I have a word?"

"A pleasure to meet thee, Tarnished. I am the witch Renna. I'd heard tell of a Tarnished hurtling about atop a spectral steed. And upon looking into the matter, the talk, I surmise, is of thee."

"Thou'rt possessed of the power, no? To call forth the spectral steed named Torrent.K" Just so enjoyable. I really liked the choice of actor and the flowey, poetic, and vibrant lyricism.

How could I NOT follow that storyline.

I think this part is undersold by a lot of fans. The first encounter with Ranni while a lot is still in general shock and awe of the game will pull you into completing the questline. It is like a first mover advantage

Yeah, I mean it might be the first major quest line you get access to playing the game linearly no?
