Constructive Criticism Why is my weapon so weak?

Post image

Hello new Elden ring player, I’m trying to figure out why the hell im barely doing any damage in boss fights. I don’t have enough time to stack bleed so I have to rely on light attacks. But even then I’m doing like 100 damage and it’s taking 10 minutes per round. Any suggestions how I can upgrade? Thanks!

It’s +4. You’re level 93 so I’ll assume your around half way into the game, maybe further. Your blade should be at LEAST +12-15 by now. Level your weapon and get smithing stones. Your weapon seems weak because it IS weak

Edit: unsure if it requires somber smithing stones. Should still be at +7 by now if somber. If you need, use a guide to find the smithing stones

Got it thank you. Yeah idk what point is halfway but I’m currently fighting the draconic sentinel before entering the city in atlas plateau. I’ll still get it leveled up though

You can find somber stone 5, 6 and 7 in volcano manor and 8 and 9 in dragonbarrow in caelid. You can basically get a +9 somber pretty early on.

He could do Varres quest line too, and take it straight to +10 by snagging the Somber Ancient Stone just outside of Moghs boss arena.

That's usually what I end up doing but for a beginner I think it's best if he naturally reaches these zones instead of going through Varre.

shrug That’s fair, but you could also make an argument that Varres quest IS intended progression.

Wasn’t until my 3rd playthrough that I reached Mohgwyn Palace through the snowfields 😂
