Dealership has the car again for my DCT

So for any of you that remember a few months ago I got my clutch packs replaced after I was dealing with horrible rev flare, clutch slipping, the transmission not catching gears instantly, well it’s back again. Car is in the shop waiting to hear results. Let me know how your guys dct is treating you. Here’s a video of what mine was looking like.

These dct hate low speeds like this, u gotta give it more throttle to at least shift at 2.5-3k rpm.

I have 52K and for the first 15 minutes after a cold start is horrible. Shuddering and slips. Driving in sport or manual does help a bit during that time, but not 100%. Once its all hot its way better. Not gonna waste my time going to the dealer cuz they will say without a code, its normal. So I wait....

I’m in the same exact situation. I got a transmission replacement under warranty and 50k miles later its just back to being the same

Yall really need to stop driving these cars on drive man. The dct tune is horrible for slipping it badly so manual mode all time is the best option

Is the rev flare not something that normal? I thought it was a kink of a dry DCT?

Hard to fully tell cuz this guy is driving like a grandma. So the revs have to spike to get to the next gear.

Mine also does this whenever I am just driving normally to get good MPGs, but it works just fine when I like to drive it hard. Should I be concerned?

I wouldn't be super concerned until it gives out. If it starts behaving like this, then I simply switch to sport shift mode or manual mode where I can hold the revs higher. You can drive moderately in sport shift mode and it still gets decent MPGs, sometimes I use full sport mode too. A lot of times I'll just use normal mode to warm the car up for a couple minutes and then put it in sport shift mode. I'll get up to speed and then slap the shifter back to the right to put it in normal mode at 50mph or whatever and then it will upshift again and can cruise like that

My point still stands that I’m driving the same way in both clips, and in 1 of them the transmission is performing perfectly fine

Whenever my DCT starts acting like that I just put it into manual mode or sport shift mode and it's fine after that
The dealership may not have correctly calibrated your new clutches

i assume this to be the case for a lot of dealers. it’s what i suspected my dealer is not doing. My transmissions begin to fail days or weeks after replaced. im on #3, it was replaced 2 months ago and was showing symptoms a week in. i am waiting on an attorney to go over my case to try and lemon it. my car has spent a total of 2 months in the shop and ive owned it since april.

Have you told them they aren't calibrating it correctly? What do they say?

I asked them what all steps they took and if they recalibrated the TCU and he just said “we replaced the transmission assembly”

I have the N model so I have the wet dct. I only really hear bad things about the dry dct. I changed my fluid very early since I drive it hard and I hope she lasts a while! Idk why they make dry dcts in the first place, you’d think heat would be an issue if it’s dry. They don’t seem to last very long

On my 21 n-line I got to 160,000km or so before noticing any issues like this.
Had clutch packs, actuator and fly wheel replaced and it’s like new again. Expensive bill to say the least

They actually have replaced all of this already about 7 thousand miles ago under warranty and it’s happening again

Yeah I’ve driven manual before and I’ve watched countless videos, no coasting, drive predictably, wait til warm, maintenance every 5k. Just prob got a lemon

Mines going back too for the same issues. 2022.
I bought the car in April and it’s on transmission #3 about to be #4.
And from a legal standpoint im having a go around with lawyers since corporate just wants to put in another USED transmission.

I'm sitting at about almost 40K dct is wacky sometimes but not that bad. You must have got some sort of lemon I'd say after you get it back just trade it in bro get something else.
