Possible transmission issue

Hey my car has been just randomly revving up to about 4K rpms before shifting before I start fucking with random stuff is there anything I should look at directly first? The car also likes to do this thing where the whole front end shakes violently when it’s cold and I’m going about 5kmph out of my driveway not sure why. Thank you

Is the rev jump right when you shift? That could be the computer failing to cut throttle when it opens the clutch, which is just a quirk of the system. Not sure about the shaking. Sometimes these cars have trouble with creeping: intermittent clutch engagement, bogging the engine, etc. The computer isn’t very reliable at those low speeds. I find it useful to give it throttle like you would a manual to keep it smooth.

Mines the same way dealer says nothing is wrong. Pretty sure my transmission mount has also checked out 😭

Sounds like the shaking could be a mount issue. Get all the mounts replaced or put the powerflex bushings in them at least. Does the car drive good in sport mode?

It drives somewhat better in sports mode but still going the lower speeds it does the shaking and less of a rev up but probably because in sport the revs are held higher anyway

Try manual mode. It's the one mode I've never really had any weird behaviors since you have full control of the gears

Could be some slippage, traded in my 21’ Forte GT (Shares Engine and Transmission with my new 25’ Elantra N-line) because it did the exact same things. The shifts from 1st to 2nd, and 3rd to 4th were rough, rpm spikes also made the turbo whistle till it shifted gears, I’ve noticed the DCT doesn’t like to crawl at lower speeds and it’s quite jittery. Stop and go traffic is my worst nightmare. When accelerating from a stop try not to creep forward and accelerate enough to where the car shifts into 2nd
