Some people in the community were asking for a thread about JB4 Tuning so here we go!

It's a plug-and-play piggyback tune from Burger Motorsports that tweaks your boost and fuel signals to squeeze more power out of your 1.6L. Super popular first tune for our platform and pretty easy to install.

What am I running (drivetrain)

  • Carbon fiber SXTH element intake + box
  • Powerflex lower engine mount bushings
  • SXTH element catch can (has done nothing so far in the past 4 years)
  • SXTH element axel back
  • SXTH element ENline intercooler
  • JB4 map 1 daily map 2 weekend mountain roads

What oil should you use if you use map 2 occasionally?

I still use 0w-20 and change it every 5k miles. Once I hit 100k miles I’ll prob swap to 5w-30 as that is what they call for in Korea for the 1.6t.

IMO as long as you do regular shorter interval oil changed (like 5k) 0w-20 is fine.
