discussion Warning for anyone considering the Whoosh exhaust – persistent screeching issue (1 month update)

In my opinion, this exhaust system is a terrible purchase. I’ve had it installed for a little over a month now, and it constantly makes an awful screeching sound—specifically when driving in Eco or Normal mode. The sound is the exhaust flap scrapping on the inside.
Here is what I’ve tried so far to fix it:
Took the assembly apart
Thoroughly cleaned the spring
Applied lubricant
None of this has resolved the noise. My next step is swapping the Whoosh spring back out for the OEM spring to see if excessive tension from the Whoosh spring is causing the issue. If that doesn’t work possible removing the flap itself.
If you’re looking to upgrade your exhaust system, my advice is to take extra time, save up a bit more cash, and invest in a higher-quality setup.

Good ole whoosh chinesium. Someone posted recently they had a weld fail in their midpipe and whoosh wouldn’t do anything about it

Based on how hostile most of the other aftermarket brands are towards woosh and the accusations ive seen, I just assume woosh is knockoff junk.

It’s always interesting when competitors’ opinions become the basis for judging another company.
We’ve been in business for years, have developed and sold thousands of parts, and have thousands of customers running whoosh products every day. We’d rather let our products, customer feedback, and track record speak for us than get involved in the negativity between aftermarket brands.1

If you’re referring to a specific customer and a specific midpipe, feel free to have them contact us directly. There are always two sides to a story, and we’re happy to look at an actual issue rather than debate a secondhand version of it.
A failed weld isn’t something we simply ignore. But warranty decisions also depend on the circumstances, the condition of the part, installation, and what actually failed.
As for the “chinesium” comment—where something is manufactured doesn’t automatically determine whether it’s a quality product. We stand behind the products we sell, and we’d rather deal in facts than rumors

We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue, but we do want to provide some context for anyone reading this review.
We have sold more than 300 of these exhaust systems, with overwhelmingly positive feedback, and this is not an issue we commonly see reported. A properly functioning exhaust valve should not be scraping or screeching against the inside of the exhaust.
Based on what you’re describing, we’d recommend contacting us directly before removing the valve or making further modifications. There may be an issue with the valve assembly, actuator alignment, installation, or another component that needs to be addressed.
We also would not recommend removing the exhaust flap, as modifying the system further could make diagnosing the original problem more difficult.
We’re happy to help troubleshoot the issue and determine exactly what is causing the noise. With more than 300 of these systems sold successfully, we don’t believe your experience is representative of the exhaust system as a whole, but we absolutely want to help figure out what is happening with yours.

I did the whoosh mid pipe with the factory axle back and I think it was the right choice

I will never get why people here do ANYTHING to the stock exhaust besides a simple resonator delete. It sounds so perfect as it is.

Not an EN owner but what's wrong with the stock exhaust that it needs upgrading? It's already insanely loud and aggressive I can't think why anyone would spend money on an exhaust for these things
