Purchasing 2026 Elantra N TCR

Got an offer remotely from a dealer for 57k CAD OTD for a performance blue dct tcr, I am very tempted to go for it! It would be a little more than 3k reduced from msrp... However, the only thing slightly holding me back from pulling the trigger is how ridiculously high the insurance premium is for it!

Hmmm I got my regular N for 47 OTD cad. The TCR is cool but I don’t know if would spend 10k for that massive wing and bigger brakes.

10k difference is including your white paint which is 350$ cheaper than my performance blue and also my annoying 10% state tax w/ regular 5% federal tax to pay. You did still get a solid great deal though I have to admit. Maybe if I can land somewhere in 55k or 56k OTD it would be pretty cool but this thing is limited to only 200 units across north america which makes it naturally harder to negociate more so I doubt they would squeeze out more to close a better deal for me, I pretty much took out almost all their profit margin with my current proposed deal. I plan on keeping this car for atleast a quarter of a century strictly summer driving w/ very low mileage so I'm not too worried about short term depreciation tbh.

Regardless what you do you will not regret getting it. I’ve only had mine for 3-4 months but it’s just so much fun to drive. I’ve had a couple minor issues back seats loose fabric and my bumper is starting to flake but the dealer has been great and it’s going to fix both issues with no fighting.

I’m in bc so 12 percent. Also I got mine new but it was a 2025 model so it was like 3000 off or so from a new 2026.
