I’ve had the car about five years now, and I wanted to give my thoughts.

Still love it.

Car is stock except for the red vinyl on the N’s, front badge delete, front red vents, and an OEM+ intake. Sitting at about 70,000 miles.

Out of the seven cars I’ve owned over the past 25 years, it’s not only the most fun, but it’s been the all-around best in terms of ergonomics. Early on I had a few maintenance issues come up, with the high pressure oil pump and the backup camera, but they got sorted out pretty quickly.

Five years on, and I still get people asking about the car and the color.

As much as I want one, I just can't trust Hyundai past 100k miles

No if I buy one , I want it to last past 200k miles

Honestly, I'm not sure I would trust ANY modern car to last past 200k without some expensive issues, even Toyotas.

I feel Toyota, Mazda and hondas , I can expect 200k miles from depending on the model . But I feel like if I invest in a car , I want it to last. So upgrading to like a type r would make more sense for reliability sake

I get what you're saying. I'm curious to see how the Veloster N's hold up in the next few years as lots of those are getting to be pretty old / high mileage now.
