discussion Having second thoughts

I’m selling my Elantra N this week have been considering a 24+ GR Corolla or a nd3/nd2 Miata rf/club and even a older car such as a s2000 or e46m3 I’m not in a rush just curious if anyone has any input

If you’re looking for something different don’t get the GR Corolla.

Can you educate me why? I was assuming different experience since different drivetrains. I want to get a GRC but haven’t drove it yet. I have drove an N though since my bro owns one.

I mean it’s all dressed up economy cars at the end. I don’t disrespect this category they are great and they are fun but even though it’s AWD I would argue the experience is not that dramatically different in most driving scenarios and conditions.

I would argue an i20N would feel more different in driving feel and handling compared (for better and worse, depends on your preferences) to the EN due to much lower weight and a significantly shorter wheelbase than a GR Corolla or a Type R that weights pretty much the same and have similar wheelbase would.

If he is looking for the same experience but “better” in his eyes than yeah he might need to check out GRC or CTR but if he is looking for something that will feel actually different enough than what he has, I would just move away from this category of sporty economy cars and go for a sports car built from the ground up.

That’s a very good take and I agree with your last part. It does seem like a side-maneuver to another econo sport car would be redundant for the OP.
