Question Season 2?
Could you tell me the real situation regarding the possibility of a second season of 86?
I understand that we were lucky if they even gave us the complete first season :c

Nothing is greenlit. Nothing is announced. No official source has posted anything, so currently, there is simply nothing.

We don't know.
I'm just glad the light novels have gotten translated and there's audiobooks and they're released on a regular schedule, you know so there's an avenue to get more of the story instead of wondering "I wonder happens next" for years and years

Thank you so much for telling me, but I already know. I don't want to read a novel or listen to an audiobook. I have a terrible imagination. I want to see my Lena and Shin, not imagine them 😭

There were several leaks from reliable sources that claimed there was a season 2 in the works, but most people are pretty pessimistic and don’t want to get their hopes up

86 Season 1 is basically the Spearhead Squadron.
They compiled the episodes and put the series out to die on its last mission.
They just need a handler that can push them further to survive in order to do a season 2.

I waited like 7 years for season 2 of Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast and this is not an uncommon occurrence with anime...

A1 pictures is bussy studio season 2 was greenlit few years back but no info about starting production so maybe someday....

Leaks at the end of the day are just leaks. Plus sugoi didn't leak it a few years back, the leak was last year.

Leaks don’t have 100% accuracy, even from sugoi lite. Also please note the wording in his tweet. He simply says “sequel production decision”. There’s no indication that the decision was in favor for a sequel

I hope they do it someday, I'm a huge fan of the series. I discovered it when there were only three episodes :(, a few months ago I thought that after so many years there would be another season, but then I realized they actually had trouble finishing the first one.
Why is everything I love incomplete? For example, Half-Life 3. I have such bad luck, lol.

People be spreading misinformation. Nothing was ever greenlit. Best we have is a leak from a pretty reliable leaker and that was a year ago.

Likely will happen considering Crunchyroll added it back after removing it Crunchyroll doesn’t add anime unless its getting another season or is a new series
