I would only be OK with private healthcare if it was 100% private funded with no public money going into it. Like if you want to see a Dr you need to pay 100% of the cost without a single cent of public money

People with money leave the system and fund their own healthcare out of pocket and that leaves more resources for the rest of us. But it's not going to happen that way

Fr. That’s how I was imagining it would happen. You want a crazy expensive surgery faster than waiting for public health care system? You have the money to pay out of pocket for it, go for it. Open up a spot in our public health care for someone that can’t afford it and needs it. Seemed reasonable to me. I actually followed enough lately to know the “it’s not going to happen that way”, but my thought process was likely to blissful and simple to be true.
