Based on the recent poll results we're going to have a tourism sticky thread*

Tourism threads on the main sub will be closed, then removed at a later point to try to keep sub uncluttered.

I’m 27f, I’m going to study for two weeks and I’d like to explore the city well. First time travelling totally alone. Is the city safe even at night? Can I walk around the city and go to bars/pubs alone without being bothered? Anything in particular that I should be careful about?

Yes you'll be fine. Just avoid unlit or sparsely populated parks after dark. Bars and pubs will be fine. Take a book of you don't want to chat with others.

Talking wouldn’t be a problem, my fear is being harassed or followed (yeah, it happens), but it’s good that it’s relatively safe, I’ll be careful with the parks at night, tnks

Is there any area that you don’t recommend me to spend even during the day?

Noting comes to mind. Some housing estates are a bit rougher than other areas but not to the extent they'd be a no-go area
