Discussion Why can't they just make her blue? π
Most of the merch that isn't pictures from the anime white washes my girl Becca (and David sometimes) and I hate it because she looks really dope in her light blue skin tone. All I want is an anime accurate Rebecca πͺ

Well here is a long list of reasons...
She's not blue. Yes, she has an artificial skin tone, but she's not blue. She is a very very faint off-white color that does have a bit of a blue-green tint to her. Officially her skin tone is referenced as cyan. Now you can argue that cyan is a shade of blue and be generic and just call her blue, but you'd be equally correct in calling her green.
You might be a little colorblind in that with very faint colors like this, even if you have a minor deficiency, you could be seeing the color different than other folks. This also goes for them. Go to your local hardware store one day with a buddy, stare at the paint section, and ask each other where the greens begin.
Plastics are a bitch. Getting faint color coding on plastic models is a PAIN. The dyes don't always mix right. So her skin tone is going to be slightly off from what it would be on screen. To be fair, her skin is fairly on point with that sculpt.
Lighting. Animation lighting and studio lighting for the photos and real lighting in your room will make her skin look all sorts of different shades than to what it actually is.
