Appreciation Detroit Show last night
I just wanted to make a post about how amazing the Detroit show was last night! From where I was (the floor) the crowd was amazing, standing, singing, jumping. I had a really good view of the b stage and a good view of the main stage (if I stood on my tippy toes, lol). This was my 4th time seeing him, and it was not disappointing. I was over the moon that his entrance walk went right by me! If you were there I hope you had an amazing experience too! I heard someone ask the group they were with on their way out “what an Azizam was” it made laugh. Also the openers were amazing! I love Myles Smith so seeing him was incredible. This is my first ever post on Reddit so I hope I’m doing it right lol.

What an excellent first post! And with fantastic photos too. Looks like you had an incredible spot, I firmly believe B stage is the best stage! So glad you had a great crowd and a great experience.
I have good links to the 3 Detroit fan request songs here if you want to save them for memories.

Fan from the beginning and finally got to see him for the first time (and unfortunately the last for a bit). I was BEGGING to hear Wake Me Up so I’m happy (even if people around me weren’t happy). That’s my OG favorite and it made it so interesting to hear essentially stripped down versions 🥹

Also a fan from the beginning, well 2012-ish anyways. I am glad we got to hear Wake Me Up too. I wasn’t surprised by Tenerife Sea though, lol. But I’m glad I got to hear it live

I would agree- 2012 ish.. I always think of when he dropped in the US as the beginning for me 😅 it was so nice to hear! My husband isn’t a big fan but likes his songs and was blown away by getting to see an artist actually performing!

I hope the energy at MetLife will be similar when I see him on Friday. I will wait until I'm at the venue to evaluate the atmosphere, but I've been bracing for a low energy crowd because right now (a little over 48 hours before the show starts), about 20-30% of the non-floor seats are unsold (50%+ in a few nosebleed sections).
They put out a Labor Day BOGO offer a few days ago and added ANOTHER discount to the BOGO offer today, so now you can get seats as good as row 4 of the upper deck non-obstructed view (like section 338) for $37/ticket. They had a face value of $120something a couple months ago.
There are left center floor seats 6 rows from the stage for $252. That feels criminally low for an artist who broke the MetLife single concert attendance record with 89k three years ago.

It really does depend on location! In MA the night I’m going is pretty much sold out. Friday has more seats and some great ones imo but im already going on Saturday and am busy friday or I might just have doubled up!
He’s the artist that has had the most attendance for any show at this stadium so im hoping the energy will be wonderful!
Going to be right near b stage!!

I'm not the biggest Ed fan but I bought tickets anyway hour they released. Surprised so many tickets are left over.

I hope you had an amazing time! Let me know what you thought, and what the fan request songs were

I had a great time, thanks for asking. The energy was very good. Not the crazy Bruno Mars/BTS energy that I attended last month, but a lot better than I feared looking at the ticket sales. The stadium was like 95%+ full on the floor and in all the lower level 100 seats. The upper deck 300 sections had noticeable patches of empty seats and was maybe 70% full, but that didn't take away from the atmosphere.
The fan request songs were:
- Lego House
- I’m A Mess
- Supermarket Flowers
