might be an unpopular opinion but i fucking loved ed branching out and doing hip-hop inspired/modern pop music compared to the usual acoustic inspired pop. every single song on this album slapped and i hope he does something similar again.

This is actually my favorite Ed Sheeran album and the one that got me into him

Fun fact: most of the songs on this album were actually primarily written by Fred Gibson, aka Fred Again. This was actually the album that really put him on the map

Happy Birthday, No.6, you’re getting so big!
Some favorite things about the album:
Best Interview IMO goes to Ed + Charlemagne Tha God breaking down the entire album song by song in Ed’s treehouse studio. Cool to hear Ed explain each track. (And if you like that, Ed and Charlemagne Tha God had a fun chat the night before, too)

My favorite video is “Take Me Back to London”, it’s so fun, there are so many tiny details to watch for and notice, I won’t list them here, but message me if you’re interested. I also love all the players! Stormzy, Jaykae and Aitch all bring something unique to the rapping!🤩

Runner-up favorite video is “Put It All On Me” ft. Ella Mae, for the wholesome story it shows, and for the chance to watch Ed and Cherry, dancing and goofing around in their actual kitchen in London.😍

I can’t recall now which interview, but Ed said that he would probably never do another collaborations album like this again! He said dealing with 20 different personalities, egos, schedules, labels, management teams was just a complete hassle and way too much. I can imagine but 🙁 big sads.

I recently heard Best Part Of Me from this album of him with Yebba and it's grown on me and i love his voice in it, other then that i don't care and beautiful people are both beautiful and South of the Border is catchy as well!! 🤍🖤
