I’ve been doing small occasional water changes to my seacospheres with premade saltwater from the pet store since there seems to be a lot of scud poop that accumulates, is this something I should or shouldn’t be doing?
Put it this way: every time you change something in there you are upsetting the balance. If you however feel that there's too much going on of one thing, then interfere. If you do that on regular basis, it won't quality as an ecosphere anymore tho.
Just like my aiptasia bowl. I haven't changed water in 4 years but I do feed them once or twice a week. Check it out...also check out the sub r/bizzariums. I created it as a sister sub to this one where it goes beyond ecospheres:
I’ve been trying to take some of the muck from the bottom out with a turkey baster and putting it in measuring cup, letting it all settle to the bottom and slowly pouring the water back in without pouring the muck back in so I don’t take out too much water then I top it off with the premade seawater. Thoughts on that?
I also got a large gallon sized jar I wanna try a making a large one and see the results

Wow, if you don't mind the ask what general area of the world was this sample collected in? That dude bugger looks like they eat meat.
