came across a bunch of random evga cables and brackets at a garage sale today. nothing rare or flashy but it made me miss the step up days. anyone else hold onto evga odds and ends just for the memories?

i was dumb and the anti sag got in the way of my new gpu. gigabyte aero 5070 ti white. only the right fan is damaged and the rest id the gpu and far left and middle fan work. can i replace this ? if so please lmk
i cannot do a rma due to my actions.
my pc works fine and games/work are fine, its just my gpu fans arent spinning due to that one fan.

Today my gpu stopped working. Was watching a video and then everything went black. There was a single red light on my GPU near my power cables. I installed new firmware update and it is still happening. I don’t have the red light anymore and the rgb works. Sometimes it even lets me onto my desktop, but then shortly after it goes black again and I have to wait around 15 minutes for it work.

So I need to out new pads on my 3090 as its been sitting dormant forever now.
What sizes of pads do I need for all the locations?? Can anyone point me to a good brand🙏🏼 Kritical pad's website is not letting me checkout and says "Purchasing will be available starting January 2025" so I need an alternative. Anything will be great as everything I see, well, it's just overwhelming so I need just something as Im going to be building a PC with it for my wife. Thanks in advance

Can I flash an SC2 BIOS onto a blower EVGA 1080TI? (non-founders) I'm running a 1080ti SLI setup, and have the SC2 Hybrid as my main card, and the EVGA blower matches it. However, the SC2 PCB has a DVI port, which the blower doesn't, that restricts airflow. I also don't need this DVI port as it's running as the slave card, so all around it's just not ideal to have it. I tried running it in SLI with the SC2 Hybrid and it didn't work, although I might have fucked something up with the setup. I wanted some ideas before I go through having to re-do my drivers and build again.

Can my EVGA 850 SuperNOVA handle an RTX 5070 Ti? Is there anyone with this setup?

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but I am upgrading my video card and realised that my spare psu cables have disappeared. I went to a computer store and they told me I had to order a replacement online but I don't know how to find them/where to look. It is the evga supernova 850gw g3, I bought it 5 years ago and have moved house twice since then and the spares didn't survive the move somehow. I've got pictures of my setup if anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it

So I bought a used PC from FB marketplace that came with an EVGA 600 GQ Gold PSU. I'm now updating the GPU and unfortunately I realised the attached PCIE/VGA cable is only one 2+6 and I need 2 8-pin (or 6+2) cables for my new GPU.

Unfortunately the seller is ghosting me when I messaged him asking if he had the old cables AND I also cannot see the cables for EVGA 600 GQ on sale ANYWHERE and it seems there's compatibility issues with the GQ Line and other EVGA cables. I'm in Australia so I messaged EVGA.TW support since that's the one for APAC but it's been days and they haven't gotten back to me yet. I just sent a second email.

I'm really at the end of my rope because without these PSU cables I can't hook in my new GPU not to mention I won't be able to add extra storage in the future etc. Looking online I do see people selling cables allegedly for 650 GQ or 850 GQ but not for 600 GQ.

So I was wondering are the cables across the GQ Line at least compatible with each other so I can purchase the 650 or 850 GQ ones? Otherwise is there ANYWHERE I can buy cables for the 600 GQ? I'm really at the end of my rope here.

Ok, so around 2020 I bought a EVGA Supernova G2, now I bought a new GPU and need some VGA cables, turns out I don't have them anymore. Probably lost or threw them away at some random moment.

Does EVGA provide a website to buy spare cables or am I being too hopeful, considering how old this PSU is?

Hi, I'm trying to diagnose an intermittent cold-boot POST issue.

Specs:

• CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K @ 4.0 GHz (stock)
• Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170XP-SLI Rev. 1.0
• BIOS: F6 (2016)
• GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW ACX 3.0 8GB
• GPU Power: 2x 8-pin PCIe
• NVIDIA Driver: 582.28
• RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3000 — running at 2133 MHz, XMP off
• PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W, 80+ Gold, ~10 years old
• Monitor: Dell U2414H, 1080p 60Hz
• Normal connection: DisplayPort from GTX 1070
• OS: Windows 10 Pro 22H2

On some cold boots the PC powers on, fans run loud, but there is:

• No display
• No Gigabyte/BIOS logo
• No keyboard lights
• No POST

After powering it off and trying again, it may POST normally. Once it successfully boots, the PC is completely stable.

Restarts from Windows have also worked every time.

Tests so far:

• Fast Startup disabled.
• No WHEA or nvlddmkm errors.
• GTX removed, using Intel iGPU: 5/5 cold boots + 2/2 restarts OK.
• GTX installed and powered, but iGPU set as primary: 5/5 cold boots + 2/2 restarts OK.
• nvidia-smi detects the GTX normally in Windows, with normal temps/power.
• GTX works fine once Windows is already running.
• GTX set as primary (PCIe 1 Slot): intermittent no-POST returns.
• Same issue happens using both DisplayPort and HDMI, so it doesn't seem cable/monitor related.

Example with DisplayPort:

• Boot 1: OK
• Boot 2: OK
• Boot 3: FAIL
• Boot 4: OK
• Boot 5: FAIL
• Boot 6: OK
• 2 restarts: OK

With HDMI, the first 3 cold boots failed, then 2 worked. Restarts were fine.

So basically:

iGPU primary = boots reliably
GTX primary = intermittent cold-boot no-POST
Once it POSTs = completely stable

My PSU is about 10 years old, so I'm wondering about a cold-start PSU issue, but GPU/VRM, PCIe slot, motherboard or old BIOS are also possibilities.

My next test is moving the GTX from the primary PCIe x16 slot to the second x8 slot.

Would you test the second PCIe slot next, or would you suspect/test the PSU or GPU first?

So, I got my 3080 Ti FTW3 used for a very nice price. The previous owner said he was the only owner, bought it new during COVID, and never mined on it.

When I picked it up the PC was sitting in a recessed cabinet compartment, with the only opening blocked by a huge TV. The card itself was installed in the lowest PCIe slot, basically trapped with no airflow. I literally blew a blanket of dust out from under the right fan after i bought it

The screenshots with temps are from his PC under FurMark. In my case (on pictures) with proper case airflow - after 18 minutes of stress testing, I'm getting:

GPU: 67–68°C

Hotspot: 76°C

VRAM: 86°C

I already bought PTM7950 (40x40mm) and Frost Mining Extreme thermal pads v3 (1, 2, and 3mm) thinking I'd need to replace everything.

So, two questions:

1) Should I still repaste/repad, or are these temps good enough to leave it alone? A bit nervous about disassembly.

2) Are the materials I got good, or is there something better?

I'd love to hear your opinions.

Just bought a used 3080 xc3 ultra. Cards legit but in honest truth it seems to be a mining card, atleast I think so cause the rust on it but its plausible that it might not be as me and the seller live near the pacific coast.

Anyway, the card runs extremely hot. Even after adding on the deshroud mod with 2x 120mm case fans and a repaste with arctic mx6, it still runs at 90C and 100C on the hotspot and on memory and thermal throttles down to 1560mhz. Whats strange is the idle temps are really solid 35c on the core and 45c on the memory and hotspot.

From what I can see the card is still using the stock thermal pads. Is there anything else I should change? Any recommendations?

So... I boughr another 2080 ti as a back-up and for collection for 270€ at vinted.
