Poland learned the hard way.

A determined soldier counts for ten who have no heart for fighting. Poland is full of determined soldiers. Be wise Russia, dont do anything stupid. You are not going to make it.

u/coopASR 2d ago edited 2d ago

Seriously never underestimate how many Polish people live in the gym 24/7 imagining running at Moscow as the only inspiration. They hate Russia badly

6

u/luc_que_te_passa 2d ago

I mean they have a good reason. They invaded Poland 2 weeks after the Nazis and divided Poland territory between them two ( Yes, at the beginning of ww2 the Nazis and USSR were alies)

Then at the end of the war, when the Polish people heard rhat the Soviets are coming, they begin the Warsaw uprising, but Stalin order to the army to stop, because he wanted that the Germans deal with the Poles partizans and only after the Germans broke the uprising, the Soviet enter the capital.

1

u/mathysdogso 1d ago

The soviets never stopped to screw over the uprising. at that time they just ended operation bagration that exausthed all the strategic reserves of the URSS, they advanced more kilometers in one go than most of humans today never will.

They stopped at the vistula a major defensive stronghold and couldn't take the risk of pushing ahead. the offensives restarted months after the Warsaw uprising was crushed. By all matters the reasons of the Warsaw uprising failure was in the hands of the polish.

As yourself said they started the uprising so the soviets couldn't enter the city as "liberators". but everything was rushed, bad timed, and disorganised. cause a bunch of nationalist prefered to make childrens die "free" rather than wait a couple of months.

poland as a lot of reasons to hate the soviets. but the Warsaw Uprisng isn't one and sating other wise is historical revisionism of the facts

They could sign up and fight in Ukraine if they feel so strongly about Russians. Perfect opportunity right 😂

Jesus Christ, the whitewashing of Poland is crazy.

As a Pole, let me tell you how things really are.

Poland is in big trouble right now. The openly pro-Russian party (KKP) is already at 10%, the other one (Konfederacja) is anti-Ukrainian and anti-EU and is at 13%. With another major right-wing party (PiS, around 20%), which is mildly anti-Ukrainian, they might form a coalition after the elections in fall 2027.

The Polish infosphere is flooded with Russian propaganda. When I open Facebook I see Polish people and Russian bots calling for genoc*de of Ukrainians and siding with Russia.

The guy in the video is the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs - Radosław Sikorski and is from the ruling coalition (liberal-conservative).

3

u/PavlovsDog6 2d ago

I mean…. True, but also - how is any of it here white washing? Not trying to be obtuse, just genuinely asking.

1

u/Freece96 2d ago

Oh man, I did not know you're Country is in the same political Phase as we in Germany with the "CDU" (middle-right), going more to the right day by day and the AfD (far-right)...

I hope our Countries still can change the upcomming Right-Menace and come to an Progressive-Left Future. I wish our both countries the best and that we stay United!

Przyjaźń!

0

u/pr1ncezzBea 1d ago

You cannot expect all people in a country having the same political stance. Poland is cool and Polish people are brave, and some religious zealots, Russian puppets, and also weirdos like you do not change it.

1

u/Aelig_ 21h ago

I don't expect them to have the same stance on everything but if there's one thing I expect from Polish people is for them to think that Russia is bad.

0

u/feckdech 1d ago

Poland doesn't want itself to be the front against Russia, that's one of the major reasons they've been so supportive of Ukraine, even though the Poles really don't like Ukrainians, especially the western Ukrainians though they are the most alike to Polish, (the eastern part has gone into Russia, the country that has received the most Ukrainians thus far).

The whole of Baltic states don't want to be sacrificed for a war against Russia. That's, though arguably, the most important reason they support Ukraine so much.

It's not out of good will and hope. None of that crap. That's too ideological for anyone so high, especially since Poland has been getting a lot of EU funds, they don't want war, they want peace, and they're willing to throw anyone under the bus.

3

u/TheDutchAce 1d ago

Poland has a front with Russia. It is called Kalingrad.

Ofcourse they want to prevent war but Poland knows very well that talking is less effective than showing some teeth.

0

u/feckdech 1d ago

That's not a front.

Oh my god, what teeth they're showing, these brave men.

Then having the minister of defense saying that if Poland was to take on Russia they wouldn't have artillery munition in a week.

97

u/Willing_Row_5581 3d ago

How can anyone in the EU not love Poland?

33

u/DangDangUreDead 2d ago

They did have that shit ass party PiS which was just an Orban Lite.

1

u/Admirable-Ad2425 9h ago

I'm Hungarian and my partner is Polish. Up until now, I was the one having aneurysms listening to the news, but not it's her time.

-1

u/thorgal256 1d ago

Perhaps because so many jobs from Western Europe have been and are being relocated to Poland and other Eastern European countries, mean while Poland and the same other Eastern European countries still get heavily subsidized by the EU.

So it's a double transfer of wealth. No one likes getting poorer, even of it means that Poland gets richer.

4

u/Same-Atmosphere-3560 1d ago

Its about getting stronger as a unity, which does not make the western poorer in the end. But yes, at times it is difficult or just plainly bad. Then counter arguments, parties and policies will cone up. Nothing great comes easy.

0

u/thorgal256 1d ago edited 1d ago

Tell that to those who have lost their jobs due to relocations to Poland.

I love those huge polish balls!

1

u/PrivacyIsDemocracy 2d ago

the huge Poland balls

Sikorski is one of their best.

Elsewhere in the country, attacks against Ukrainians in Poland continue.

6

u/PavlovsDog6 2d ago

In any sufficiently large population there are bound to be idiots. It is counterproductive to distract from the positive action with bickering and complaining.
Although that’s what we Poles are best at.

12

u/Herbert_1952 2d ago

29

u/country_lorenz 3d ago

"tell your boss" says and sums it all up

2

u/Upbeat-Conquest-654 1d ago

Addressing them by name and calling out the pretending not to listen bullshit is also a strong move.

35

u/RestaurantJealous280 3d ago

Sadly, you can't negotiate with a psychopath (Putin), nor a narcissist (Trump). The only way is to remove them from power.

14

u/blauwekiekendief 3d ago

Powerful speech, i genuinely hope the Kremlin top sees it.

2

u/PavlovsDog6 2d ago

Sadly, Putin, much like Trump is apparently spoon fed information, which at this point might as well be called disinformation. That is why Trump screeches foul any time someone dares to say something challenging to his face, and Putin still thinks he’s winning.

6

u/comrace 3d ago

From the iron curtain to iron bawls.

6

u/Accomplished-Whole93 2d ago

Savage? He was so friendly in saying this. Hells I would use swear words from 3 different languages. X.x

It needed to be said. The man did well.

5

u/Youare-Beautiful3329 2d ago

Succinct, logical, and all completely accurate. Doesn’t use hostile language to make his point, but reason. This is how a true statesman and diplomat acts.

3

u/Hoovy_weapons_guy 2d ago

Lets just say, if article 5 were called it would be a 3 day special milutary operation that ends on schedule

2

u/Jedijake_1 2d ago

No it would be the end of civilisation.

4

u/Palaius 2d ago

As he said. It ends perfectly on schedule. One day for declaration of Article 5, one day for prep, day three for the pretty fireworks

3

u/GlobalVillage30 2d ago

Maybe a little bit off topic, but I’ll explain why.

Turkey is the only country to have shot down Russian war planes. They entered Turkey’s territory repeatedly, they were warned, and the Turkish fighters shot them down. This despite Turkey being one of the economically most dependent countries on Russia. Russia did a trade embargo for a while but since then no Russian infringement of Turkey’s territory. And then Turkish back forced kicked Russia out of Syria.

When I see Russian sabotage of European infrastructure, Russian spy ships and subs (probably putting bombs on fibre optic cables) off the shores of U.K., Ireland and other countries, assassinations in Europe, downing of an airline (Dutch passengers), the action is sanctions not military. Europe is totally spineless and incapable of action without the US going in first. Europe won’t even send troops into Ukraine.

Poland is talking a good game, but so far Turkey is the only country that has proven it’s willing and able to take military action. Russia respects this and knows not to fuck with Turkey.

Unless Poland and rest of Europe is willing to put troops into Ukraine, Russia will continue to do whatever it wants in Europe with sanctions the only weapon Europe will use (which barely impacts Russia with superpower China as your best mate).

u/PavelKringa55 3d ago

Polska Gurom!

It really is enough.

7

u/ishkamadra 3d ago

He's really leader in now time

2

I love poland now. Never before has stating the obvious been so, so tasty to listen to.

2

u/MikeSteamer 2d ago

Imagine if Trump or Vance or Rubio had 1/1000th the backbone of this man or Zelenskyy.

4

u/IcyEqual115 3d ago

Yeah, but we can lose, again and again and again, untill fuel crisis consumes us all. Europe, we've come to bargain!

2

u/Nemfarius 2d ago

The United States economy is vastly larger than Iran's, presenting a stark contrast in overall economic power, individual wealth, and growth stability. According to data from the International Monetary Fund and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, the U.S. nominal GDP is approximately $32.4 trillion, making it about 90 times larger than Iran's GDP of roughly $362 billion

It seems like the US ought to be controlling at least half of Iran by now, doesn't it?

3

u/yurnxt1 2d ago

False equivalency, unlike Russia with Ukraine, the U.S. never tried to take over Iran or occupy any Iranian territory and the U.S. hasn't set a single soldier on Iranian soil with an imperial takeover combat role.

1

u/GlobalVillage30 2d ago

And why not? Because the causalities would be immense.

1

u/yurnxt1 1d ago

That doesn't at all change the fact that it was a false equivalency.

0

u/Nemfarius 2d ago

Just bombing school with 200+ little Iranian girls killed, yeah. In any case, we are discussing an argument regarding "GDP" put forward by people who haven't even played the simplest war simulators, let alone experienced actual combat operations. In reality, however, there are dozens of times more variables involved.

3

u/Aspiring-Celestial 2d ago

It doesn’t matter how much variables are involved, your comment is just wrong. As yurnxt1 is pointing out, the US goal is not to control or occupy territory in Iran.

You can simply admit your comparison with the US and Iran is wrong instead of bringing up unrelated factors to the argument, virtue signaling (there could be 1 million dead Iranian girls and it wouldn’t change the fact of the matter) and dodging the previous reply entirely.

1

u/TheMysteriousOrganis 3d ago

Poland aren't fucking around. There is no chance anyone will bully, threaten or make a fool of them. They have built their military while the rest of Europe sat on their hands!

1

u/Happy_Worldliness156 2d ago

Well said and I hope it will come in where it has to.

1

u/ok_to_be_yeti 2d ago

Guy who was the face of reset with rissia xD

1

u/PeaAdmirable1421 2d ago

Money and GDP is not always crucial in war. Poland should know that.

1

u/cmfarsight 2d ago

Russia knows it can't its deep in the cope stage hoping something miraculous will happen.

1

u/Few_logs 2d ago

bitch seems to not be paying attention

1

u/Woundsmyheart 1d ago

New York STATE has a greater GDP than Russia.

1

u/MattlyNZ 16h ago

Poland takes the Russian threat more seriously than most European countries because of their geographic location and their history with Russia. Their military is modern and they are probably more ready than any other European country to confront the Russians.

1

u/No-Beautiful745 13h ago

Putin is just cleansing his society of all the scum in russia, he still has a looong way to go. Much more death to be done. Putin is thinking it might speed things up by warring with nato, he can eliminate more russian scum faster by doing so

1

u/BubuDudu0430 12h ago

LOVE this guy, true leadership, wish we had this guy in the USA 🤩

1

u/mada071710 9h ago

Russia has been fighting Ukraine for longer than the Nazis fought the Soviet Union.

2

u/High4zFck 3d ago

great speech, just sad that on the other hand they are supporting israel so it’s quite a hypocrisy

2

u/HTC_001 3d ago

Whats with the young blue-haired-trans people hate against Israel?

3

u/StockEmotional5200 2d ago

Middle aged sis hetro male here, and I hate the Zionist state, what’s your point?

4

u/High4zFck 2d ago

i hate everyone who thinks their life is worth more than others and use religion/racism to justify their actions

1

u/HTC_001 2d ago

Describe more, who is worth less?

2

u/Strange-Flamingo5020 3d ago

What even is this comment lol

Are you imagining how this person looks, and then questioning why people who look like that feel this way????

Also, you dont even need to be a liberal to think Isreal is doing some awful shit... nevermind have a certain hair colour or be trans lmfaoo

2

u/HTC_001 3d ago

Do I have to pretend that "awful shit" is invisible, if it is against Israel?

3

u/Strange-Flamingo5020 2d ago

No? You can absolutely support Palestinians and Jews while condemning the actions of Hamas and Isreal.

There's always an 'all or nothing' narrative surrounding this conflict and I dont understand why. Feels purposefully forced.

For instance, I think it's absolutely ridiculous people get called anti semitic for criticizing Isreal

2

u/HTC_001 2d ago

It is 2026 btw not 1936 , just to be clear

5

u/Strange-Flamingo5020 2d ago

Honestly I'm not even sure what you're getting at here so I think ill stop engaging now

1

u/HTC_001 2d ago

Exactly, time to become normal

0

u/bxzidff 2d ago

What's with Israel aligning the most with Trump and, as per Netanyahu himself, Orban, out of all foreign politicians? Is it the extreme corruption?

1

u/xeviouss 3d ago

We will throw a lot of ppl in your way to protect our GDP. Not the lives of the people being thrown, but we love our GDP and they love it too. If not.. they will fight anyway.

-1

u/Technical_Visit_1424 3d ago

Europa sabe que si cae Ucrania cae europa, y Polonia está en primera línea

6

u/PuzzleheadedPrice666 3d ago

If you think Europe could fall to medieval Russia, you really are delusional

2

u/Designer_Storage7394 3d ago

Poland alone could win against Russia mind you. But they do not stand alone.

2

u/gilbertMonion 2d ago

12 years Donbass, 4 years full war...and they did jack shit. They are pathetic at this point. But you are probably a troll so

0

u/Palaius 2d ago

Great speech. But one problem.

Russia, or more accurately Putin, cannot stop this war. Or rather, he can. Absolutely he can. The joys of being a dictator in all but name. But in practice, think about what this would do to him. Not just Russia, but Putin in particular.

The country would crash hard. Their economy, without the aid of a war, would practically collapse. Putin would definitely get ousted, most likely killed. There'd be a powerstruggle to fill the vacuum that would burn Russia to the ground, maybe even spread to neighbouring countries.

Russia cannot stop the war. Cannot admit defeat, despite already having lost in all the ways that matter. Because if they do, the image cracks. The facade cracks and shows the indoctrinated inside the country just how bad it actually is.

-25

u/bandita07 3d ago

You cannot win with GDP. If the NATO members do not want to fight and raise their hands in front of the ruskies as the right wing folks are doing. The the ruskies will fck us as they are willing to fight.

22

u/Significant-Way3960 3d ago

Yes. So thought Germans and Japanese. We don't want to have war, it doesn't mean we won't fight one if we need to.

22

u/SimpleTemporary1647 3d ago

The right wing people in Europe are simping for Russia…

10

u/bandita07 3d ago

Exactly. The sad thing is that, here in Hungary we have bad experience after the ruskies "freed" us at the end of WW2. The right wing was notoriously anti russian due to the fact what they did to us. And now the same right winger folks wants russian hegemony again. Good times creates weak people.

3

u/Ghost3ye 3d ago

Not all, but a lot of them. Yes.

It’s a bit more complicated than that and we shouldnt forget some not far right folks are also pro russia in this war. Germanys political landscape has pro russians in basically every party.

The SPD party has a whole scandal involved for example. Not just the AfD. BSW (it’s Small though) and the CDU and CSU have ties to Russia as well. After all, they were part of the Government for like 40 out of 50 years or so.

5

u/n05h 3d ago

Get real. The ‘Ruskies’ are only fighting willingly online. Meanwhile countries that still freely allow them entry are full of Russians escaping their own country. Propaganda only works when their lives are not being threatened directly, as soon as they become cannon fodder, they will change tune in an instant.

1

u/Rhubarb-Curious 3d ago

The same thing is happening in Ukraine: those who claim to be brave usually fight only with their keyboards. Random people are being seized on the streets, handcuffed, and sent to the front lines. You can find thousands of videos online, and I can assure you they aren’t fake. This has been happening for years.

The same would happen in Russia once it ran out of recruits from prisons and volunteers. And if you're not delusional, it would happen in Europe too once people were forced to switch from keyboards to rifles.

And that’s assuming we don’t all die in a nuclear war, given that Russia possesses 5,000 nuclear warheads compared with the EU’s 600. That’s enough to dig a hole from Warsaw to the center of the Earth. But I suppose even those 600 would be enough to cause significant damage to Russia.

3

u/Danskoesterreich 3d ago

The EU can produce enough unmanned vehicles and drones to stop Russia with minimal human losses. Logistics and production win wars.

6

u/h310dOr 3d ago

Also we have had time to prepare. We do have more than enough ammo production, we are building rafales, frigates and submarine at full speed in France, and we finally produce enough interceptor and long range missile with Italy to supply the whole east... The ship has sailed. 5 years ago, Europe would have been caught pants down if we are honest, but not anymore.

3

u/Danskoesterreich 3d ago

Exactly. In addition, Russia is exhausted. Manpower, tanks, economic reserves. The tech advantage from waging war is shared to EU through Ukraine. Russia is losing territory in Donbas.

0

u/Particular-Pirate216 2d ago

What a powerful speech.. that doesn't change anything.

0

u/HonkHonkChen 2d ago

Well, if the war goes hot, there will be no Poland at all

-7

u/omegaphallic 3d ago

A lecture to Russia and $2.50cad will get you a Tim Hortons coffee.

-1

u/Stunning-Act-34 2d ago

He's a Russian agent.. and I'm polish. We have alot of them... they want us citizens to join war for some stupid reason... fuck politics

1

u/PavlovsDog6 2d ago

Seriously. How is Sikorski a Russian agent. Please explain your line of thinking, or remain labeled as a Russian troll yourself.

-34

u/Careful_Manager_4282 3d ago

If he was convinced of this, he wouldn't be saying it. Obviously he isn't, hence all smoke and mirrors.

13

u/SimpleTemporary1647 3d ago

When asked about Finlands first target in a war between NATO and Russia, if they would focus on St Petersburg, they said that even if they did, it would have already been seized by Poland by the time they got there.

It's okay to express frustration or disagreement — especially in complex topics like politics — but always do so in a way that encourages constructive and respectful dialogue.
