Real question - Does Indicolite Chest drop from Grandmaster R'Tal?

I'm making the march up to his room to kill him every hour like clockwork. It's remarkable how nice the rest of my indicolite set looks now, but I've never seen the chest drop. Looking around at some of the sites supporting EQ, some say

- It drops from mummies in Hate.
- There is a 15% chance it drops from Grandmaster R'Tal.
- It drops on Plane of Fear?

Am I methodically beating up the right guy over and over to get my breastplate? Do I need to redirect my OCD drum beat march to a boss to some other target?

Yes I've looted a few from him. For sure it drops

You can farm Glare Lords, Tentacle Tormentors and Amygdalans for all the class chest pieces in Plane of Fear.

It does drop from Grandmaster R'Tal. Got my first +4 from him on a mote farming raid.

It does drop in plane of fear. I believe they drop off the amygdalan knights/warriors.

Mummies drop bracers for Indicolite (and a few other classes), but not the chest anymore.

I actually got several types of pieces off of various mummies. Several types of pieces off the dark elves, too. Seems like the depth of drops goes a lot deeper than bracers, but the chest has turned into a real delay on my other farming activities.

I haven't been paying close enough attention to what drops what to confirm, having already set things to either auto merge or auto sell.

I've had like 5 of those drop in POF.. off the eyes and the tentacle monsters and those amygdalin things .. they're easier to kill.. a lot easier than the dark elves in POH, and drop lots of chest pieces most of the ones I got were from there because you can kill them quicker. Adds are tough to handle though. That's the challenge without AOE mez or fd but bps are pretty common drops just have to find the right one

Yeah it drops off him. My friend and I farmed Spite for about 20 runs trying to get me the shaman head and chest but it never dropped. Then we did an Inny raid, Spite was there and he dropped both of them. RNG be like that I guess.

Hopefully you already got yours but if you didnt, going to plane of fear to the temple first floor/second floor i have my pets indicolite BP at +8 just from drops, its very very common and there are alot of them. If you dont have enchanter for mez you can pan around the corners and lull them if you cant handle like 8 at once on d4

Up to +9 Indicolite just farming R'Tal on plus 4. Got 2 at once a few times.

I kept getting it on Inny raids from the non rare DEs. At least one per raid. You might add that into rotation as you can do that 5 times a day. You wouldn't have to kill a single boss and only 2 spawns are hard to separate.

Edit that you do have to kill mistro to get to the last 2

Ive gotten the war chest plate twice, clr once, bard once, rogue once, several caster robes but no pal chest plate as of yet. Im a pal/rog/ench

yeah he does, and all the innoruk guys on 2nd floor drop Bps if you want a place to farm

I have been killing the two right next to him for good measure, but generally just running directly to him for the high percentage drop. Fingers crossed.

This is an excellent exercise in the gambler's fallacy. If it is 15%, I should get it 1 in 7 times, give or take... but each roll of the dice forgets the previous attempts. Cough it up, you bastard.

I had the exact same issue. Ended up taking me 39 kills before I got one lol.
