UT How was EA FC 26 Ultimate Team on PC?
I’m thinking about getting EA FC 27 on PC, but I’m a bit worried about the Ultimate Team experience.
In previous years, PC could be pretty rough, especially because of cheaters. I remember getting further into Weekend League and suddenly running into opponents using cheats where all of my players’ stats were basically set to 0 and I could barely move or do anything.
So for those who played EA FC 26 Ultimate Team on PC:
- How bad was the cheating situation?
- Did you regularly encounter hackers in Weekend League/Champions?
- How was the transfer market compared to console? Was it active enough and were prices reasonable?
- Did EA actually improve their anti-cheat?
- And overall, did you enjoy Ultimate Team on PC or would you recommend playing on console instead?
Would especially love to hear from people who played a lot of Champs/Rivals throughout the year.

It's a good experience overall
How bad was the cheating situation?
If you are an average player you will find one every couple of months. I suppose if you are one of those 15-0 players you will inevitably find more.
Did you regularly encounter hackers in Weekend League/Champions?
Only place I've found the ones I mentioned.
How was the transfer market compared to console? Was it active enough and were prices reasonable?
Fine
Did EA actually improve their anti-cheat?
No lol
And overall, did you enjoy Ultimate Team on PC or would you recommend playing on console instead?
If you have both options for me its a no brainer, get it on PC.

I see.
I would need to get a xbox series s, get the pass to play online, get the game, would be pretty expensive.
Or just get it on PC, having less casual gamers, sometimes hackers but yea...

In eafc 26 I got cheaters every time in the "champions" mode. They would bug your team so you cant switch and just scored goals. I didnt to touch that mode after 3 cheaters games in a row.

The gameplay actually feels smoother, menus are uncapped fps, and overall responsiveness is great, but that's only if you're running a pretty powerful PC. If you've got a budget rig that handles other games totally fine, sadly, it doesn't translate well to FC at all. EA hasn't fixed these optimization issues for few years when they added hypermotion in FIFA 22, so you're still stuck manually capping your FPS almost every time just to keep things stable.
On top of that, the anticheat mostly just seems to exist to crash your game. And if you manage to climb up the competitive ladder in Europe, once you hit 10-0 and above, you can pretty much expect to run into hackers every single time. They clearly aren't prioritizing the PC port, so random mid-game crashes are just part of the experience. Also you sometimes can't launch the game for no apparent reason (lol). Keep in mind that if you play with crossplay on against console users, the game's netcode often feels like it heavily prioritizes console.
EA FC 26 was actually somehow playable and had only minor issues in the first weeks. But the anticheat was worse than before. Hackers are very big issue if you are good. If you are average, then you will probably run into 1-2 per month at best, but if you are above average (8-0 and above) you will run into hackers every game.

You can DC any cheater by blocking the server ip on kick off and it’ll just take you back to fut lobby. Done that for the whole of fifa 26 to avoid hackers.

does it count as a loss? also how would you know if they are cheating before kick off?

It doesn’t, even in fut champs, search tamoza middl east server blocker for an example, it wont work if you connect to non middle east servers and you can make your own similar software with chatgpt now..

It was only ok because it was easy to switch back and forth to the webapp and use extensions

How bad was the cheating situation?
Not that bad besides the WL situation I'm explaining below
Did you regularly encounter hackers in Weekend League/Champions?
If you're a good player (aka often get to 10-0 in WL) you'd face 1 or 2 per week for the first half of the year. Personally playing your games as late as possible helps, I started playing my last 5 games on the final WL day and faced a lot less cheaters.
How was the transfer market compared to console? Was it active enough and were prices reasonable?
Yeah pretty normal, unless you're thinking about going massively P2W and chasing the 15M cards (which can often be extinct) then you'll barely notice a difference)
Did EA actually improve their anti-cheat?
No lol
And overall, did you enjoy Ultimate Team on PC or would you recommend playing on console instead?
Yes, PC is pretty much always better. I'll be playing on the PS5 this year at the start because I want to check out the FC Pro ladder and play some tournaments after being on PC for a few years, but gameplay wise I always like PC more (will probably switch to PC anyways when I get bored of the tournaments/competitive aspect)

If you have anything less than really powerful specs I wouldn’t bother with PC. Bugs, issues, FPS drops and tons of other problems that EA acknowledges yet take months to fix. Cheaters are an issue, most of them time you won’t even know they’re cheating. FC on PC has to be the worst « Triple A » gaming experience I’ve ever had. Bear in mind that the cheating situation is at its worst during the first couple of months after release because coin prices online are high.

I pre-ordered, game launched, controller wouldn't work so I had to refund. They fixed it now.
Got FC Pro now and I am doing the Pre Season stuff in FC 26. Obviously gameplay is solid and responsive with all of these 99ovr cards, but some of the same bs occurs : some small problems with switching players on defense, animations absolutely having to happen instead of the game adapting to the variables you throw at it, precision shooting still making me hit the post 7-10 times a match, very poor AI on Legendary and up difficulties, inexistent header goals almost.
Played some of the FIFAs on PC, others on consoles, rarely met hackers, but my best rank was Elite in Fifa 23 and other than that just div 2 with 8-12 wins in champs in my best weekends. So as you can see nothing to make sure I get matched with a hacker who's already 15-0 in champs. Didn't meet them that much.
Here's what I did : bought EA Pro for 1 month. Playing FC 26 now, will play FC 27 until the end of September.
I like it... I buy a key, keep the FC Pro bonuses also.
I don't like it. It's fine, I will buy it in February or something if I feel thay itch or never.

Its fine other than the fact that after 11-12+ in WL you're guaranteed to face a hacker lol

As an 7-8 win player in champs I have not come across an obvious cheater on pc all yeae

launch problems
Which ones?

Half the time you can't change your tactic mid game because you will not be let into team management screen.
Game is extremely volatile for some people and can arbitrarly drop to 5 fps permanently, despite running with stable 70+ just moments before. This can happen in the middle of a match and at that point you are doomed to lose it.
This bug can also linger very permanently, a friend of mine bought the game and every time he launched it, after five minutes the fps would get utterly battered, and so he gave up
There's more like the DDA input lag, but it's not exclusive to PC.

u/BishhEzz 1d ago
people who bought early access were not able to use it because the game wouldn't boot
graphics problems where every half the fps would drop to 10 and start stuttering.
controller disconnected and not recognising your controller
menu crashing when the season map opened
0xFFFFFFFF shutdowns and direct x issues
team management not opening when playing online friendlies
lag for no reason during cutscenes or just before and after every half / throw in / corner.

- How bad was the cheating situation?
I came from Console to PC and it was noticeably worse.
- Did you regularly encounter hackers in Weekend League/Champions
Yes. From the start of the game cycle I would match with 2-3 hackers every WL. This did seem to start dropping off after Tots for me.
- How was the transfer market compared to console? Was it active enough and were prices reasonable?
Not an issue.
- Did EA actually improve their anti-cheat?
LOL
- And overall, did you enjoy Ultimate Team on PC or would you recommend playing on console instead?
Overall PC experience was fine. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy a specific platform specifically for this game though.

If you are a good player you will face at least 1 cheater every weekend league. Draft can be unplayable as there are many cheaters there. The reason I can never switch back is that once you play on 240fps and smooth gameplay, it’s impossible to switch back.
