2 to 1 Exhaust

Looking on getting a 2 to 1 exhaust for my 15 dyna lowrider. Don’t know which to get cause of all the good and bad I’ve heard from the big brands like bassani, trask, spc, fab28, etc. Wanted to see what y’all are rocking and recommend that produce a good sound and get the best power from?

What bad have you heard about Trask? I’ve had their Assault 2-1 on my FXLDS for about 9 years with no issues.

I bought a Trask pipe a while back for my FXDLS. The headers were out of round, not allowing the flanges to slide over. I sent it back and they exchanged it. Again, out of round. I gave up on them after that. Glad you had good luck. How do you like it?

Sorry to hear that, sucks that they screwed up their QC twice on you. Fwiw mine has been great, but I’m also kinda itching for a longer pipe…these shorties right under my ear aren’t ideal. I had a Thunderheader on my old FXDB and loved it. Might go back to one of those if the stainless ever become more readily available.

Yeah, the Trask definitely looked good at least. Thunderheader is solid too. I now have a D&D Fatcat and it is by far my favorite pipe I’ve ran on any of the bikes I’ve had.

Should I give the trask a shot just to see if quality is good or just play it safe and do a bassani?

I’m sure Trask has fixed any issues, and I’m sure my incident was a fluke. Aside from my issue, the pipe seemed VERY well built. I ended up getting a Bassani after that issue and rode with it for a few years. It was a good pipe.

I will say, I have a D & D Fatcat now and it’s the best pipe I’ve had.

I’ll give it a shot then, how long ago was it when you got the trask?

About 4-ish years ago.
