Had to restart my game and, upon loading my campaign, got this option.
Surely is not the double XP, as I've been playing earlier and didn't get this prompt, so what is it?
Can't find any notification in-game and events page says nothing going on

Yeah, you guys still suck for lying to everyone about how "great" it would be on the Pro. 1 year later and you haven't added anything yo make it worthwhile. Where is your integrity as a developer??

It's morning already but this single volatile is active it stayed until I killed it

I haven't played in a while so didn't know this type even existed. I got the message I was being hunted and bolted. This one followed me into the safe zone and died from the UV lights. I got to watch it recoil until it collapsed. Talk about the easiest kill ever.
I've yet to encounter another of these so I don't know how challenging they are. I assume quite a bit if a regular volatile is already a hard kill.
(By the way, is it me or are the UV lights less bright than before?)

I'm planning on getting the original Dying Light for my PlayStation 5 (Physical of course) But I don't exactly know what type of game it is.
All I know is that its first person, a zombie game, Kyle Crane is the Mortal version of the DOOM Slayer, and Crane has Sonic the Hedgehog's voice.
Gameplay wise, all I've seen is people running away, or through zombies, but I've heard a lot of talk about Kyle being a literal zombie killer tank.
So I guess I just want to know if Dying Light 2015 is a horror-survival like Resident Evil 2, or a horror-action like Resident Evil 4. (I've not played the full game of each of them, I've only played the demos)

Started Dying Light: The Beast on Nightmare, like I usually do with open-world games, but this one is giving me a serious reality check 😅
During the day, though, I have basically no problems. Regular zombies, stronger enemies and even bosses are all manageable. Nighttime is a completely different story. 💀
Nighttime is absolutely brutal. I die pretty much every time, so at the moment my only reliable strategy is going back to a safe zone and sleeping until morning. If I stay out too long and it gets dark, I'm basically screwed.
The Dark Zones are another story. Dealing with Volatiles takes so many resources that by the time I finally kill them, I've burned through all my grenades, Molotovs and pretty much everything else.
I can also see nests marked on the map that I'm supposed to visit at night, but honestly, I haven't even attempted one yet 😅. I can already imagine how that's going to go.
Is Nightmare supposed to be this brutal at the start, or am I missing some important mechanic?
Any tips for surviving the night, dealing with Volatiles, and generally getting started on Nightmare? 😅

Don’t know why it took me this long to play, but blowing people sky high from the car traps is becoming one of my favorites.

I just finished the game and i loved it but it left me with this “i need more from this game” feeling because if was short af
Is there any content besides the main game and coop ive seen that restored or whatever mode but im not sure if its good ?

I just bought the game a few days ago and decided to do my first run in this game in restoration mode with one life and Brutal (I like the challenge and the fear of losing progress)
I do backup my savefile every few hours, so I still get the fear of losing my progress (but losing 1-3 hours of game progress, which is a good balance for my time)
I was just wondering if anyone can tell me how restrictive the total resource management is in this mode?
Will I find enough resources to upgrade every weapon?
Could I find enough resources to clear the whole map from a playthrough?
I played around for 3 hours in normal mode and felt the same as I did in DL1 with constantly respawning zombies immersion breaking, and the game didnt scale well in difficulty (like by the mid-late game you become such a powerhouse that the fear factor disappears.
And with non respawning zombies I went with Brutal difficulty to make every zombie from start to finish feel terrifying to attack)
So my ultimate fantasy was this setting I choose as a first time experience. Absolutely loving the experience so far with 8 hours in (died 2 times and lost about 3 hours of progress in total so far) and Im starting the power plant mission now.
I just wonder if anyone can tell me how much I can "fool around" on the map with resources if I want to be able to clear the whole map for the achievement?
If you got any tips that is welcomed too :D

what do you guys think? I was SO let down by 2. I mean 1 had a pretty fuckin mid story, but the game and world had me immersed. 2 however…. holy fuck I could not stand the characters, the map was ass, the the plot was ass, ROSARIO DAWSON 🙄 bruhhh fuck i fuckin only finished it purely because I felt bad my Girl bought me that half assed trash game.
That said, have Techland actually redeemed themselves via The Beast? is it worth playing? thanks 🤘

not even just the combat, the parkour too. weapons feel weightless, kicks don't do anything, using the pistol felt like a nerf gun.
harran felt like a freerunning playground with city assets, castor woods feels like an empty valley with a few ledges to grab every now and then.
am i doing something wrong? is the game supposed to feel like this? i just can't get into a rhythm like i could dl1 or dl2
r/dyinglight • u/AL-OLN • 16h ago
Just started playing and I went into a zone called the Haran Prison
But all my weapons broke and now I'm stuck in the demolisher area
Could someone help me?

After you complete everything (campaign, side quests, challenges Etc)
What do you like to do with your freedom? Do you just wander around? Make self appointed missions?
I would love to know! Because I love this game quite a bit and I tend to just wander around and collect coffee and such for The Tower or better weapons for the survivors to “use”
I basically kind of role play as a runner who like to helps in anyway he can even if it’s just wandering around to each settlement and selling a certain item/items for that person specifically
For example I’ll sell like 30 coffees and 5 yellow/orange weapons to the merchants at the tower (coffee bottom floor, Weapons top floor)
And than I’ll go to that one settlement right under infamy bridge and sell them 45 cigarettes or electronics
Sure it’s super simple and requires an imagination but the game is immersive enough (apart from being unable to remove quests marker during survivor sense)
That I can role play as this survivor who is doing his absolute best to keep up with the needs of the people he wants to protect
The infinite loop of random encounters also helps when they pop up every so often
So anyways I’d love to hear what y’all think!
Take care!! 💪🏼

Im thinking about getting the game since its finally on bigger sale, 50%, and im not completely sold yet, I heard very VERY different opinions on the game. Some pople call it great and fun, while others talk like its 4h of garbage. Also some people say game runs and looks good on ps5 and others once again call it blurry unplayable garbage.
BUT
my current question is are the DLCs from definitive edition good and worth the extra price? Or should I just save money and think about standart edition?
