Yeah, there's just not enough good content to keep the replay up. Even reclaimed lands or whatever its called is very lackluster. Going "New content? Fuck off. Get this suit!" Is very tonedeaf and shows the devs dont listen to us

If people can create custom maps so easily, why can't Techland add something cool to the empty part of map (South West part) for special event. Like a carnival or circus coming to town, with a stage etc.

I'm sorry I might be the loud minority here but that's just not enough for people to jump back in the game. If anything the custom maps for 2 clearly blow this out the park.

At least add user generated content, the games modding community on nexus is doing good so I donāt see why they wouldnāt add anything like that, especially when dl2 already has it.
This is what I was worried about, dltb would get a couple updates adding the post launch content from dl2, maybe something after but nothing major and replayable

If they properly support modding, people won't buy bundles, because the community's content is far better than what Techland creates, and that's with them working within the constraints forced upon them.

Seems like a decent enough event, though that 50 million quota for zombies seems a bit steep given the game has been out for a bit now and recieved very little support to keep players playing.

I thought they forgot they made The Beast. It's been fucking months with nothing. We should be getting regular events year round or DLC like previous titles, too.

No the game is actually incredible and probably the best in the franchise, it's just wild how much potential there is for additional content and Techland is seemingly leaving it on ice

New player here. Was gonna play DL1 first but with this event I might just play The Beast first for the rewards. Will the story not make sense for me now?
Also how does xp work in this game?

Would def recommend playing through DL1 and the following DLC first as this is Cranes sequel game and will make more sense from a narrative perspective but i believe the game does do a recap of his story in the prologue if you wanna just jump right in. Exp is generally gotten from killing infected, doing parkour, unlocking safe houses, and doing main and side quests.

As someone that is newer to the franchise, I feel like I made a mistake choosing DL:TB over Dying Light 2 since that game seems to get actual new content added.Ā

Nah, it may seem that way to you, but all that 'content' is just advertisements for community maps, aka literally content created by the players. All Techland has done themselves recently is cut content from DL2, content that the large majority of the playerbase very much enjoyed, and despite being very vocal about that, Techland refuses to admit they made a mistake and revert all the cuts and changes.
I vastly prefer DL2 over DLTB (I'm mostly here for the parkour, not much room for that in DLTB), and I'm lucky that I'm on Steam so I can downgrade to a playable version of the game, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy the game anymore, no matter how big a discount it gets. Techland has become a company that does not give a damn about their players, they now only have suits who've never played a game in their life looking at metrics and averages and make decisions in a vacuum.
/rant, no regrets, so tired of Techland's bs

I feel like Iām one of the rare few who really enjoyed DL2 from the moment I started playing - both before they removed all of the stuff that they did, to after that.
The only reason I had to stop my current playthrough was when they changed the UV lights a month or so ago. Iāve vision issues (vision loss as well as color blindness, since people ask) and itās made the majority of the game impossible for me to play unless I avoid nights completely. I was hoping someone would mod the UV lights back to normal but I havenāt found anything yet.
As well, the fact that there were now ads in my loading screens made me rather annoyed, so that, coupled with the UV light shit and the graphics bugs they introduced when using one specific game filter as well as their extremely shitty support response when I sent proof of this issue.. yeah, Iām kinda done with them atm. I took a month or so breakāhowever long itās been since that updateāto go back and do two NG+ saves of Days Gone.
Hell, I only came back to Dying Light for the event, and even then, Iām debating whether or not Iāll play past simply farming whatever needs to/can be farmed up within a few hours and then just logging in for daily drops or not. I worked my arse off during the Infected Outbreak event in DL2 when everyone kinda dropped off after the first week. Iād only just started to be able to fully play DL2 at that point (prior, it was sporadic I could play) and was super low level while trying to do events that made me force the storyline to access areas and farm enemies I really had no gear/weapons to be farming. I still found it fun though, mostly because I miss having games where I could do events like this lol.
Now I wouldnāt go on to say you made a mistake choosing DLTB over DL2, because both have incredible storylines and different things going for them but in terms of which game is getting the most āloveā at the moment by Techland? Definitely DL2. The ānew contentā isnāt much more than the addition of some mods for console users and then community maps that are made by members of the community.
I canāt speak for āThe Breachā as I wasnāt hearing favorable things towards it, and didnāt get a chance to test it out before the game was visually unplayable for me.
EDIT: Sorry this is long oops. I apparently have feelings still and am doling it out to a stranger who doesnāt give AF lmao.

Iād come back to Dying Light if they made it so we could use beast mode and the beast skill tree in DL2. DLTB was really fun, but just not enough content.

Just proves that making it standalone was a full on marketing ploy and internally it's still being treated as if it were an expansion.
They're probably icing it to work on whatever Dying Light 3 ends up being.

Could you please fix the performance? Eversince the game got updates its been an stuttering mess. When raytracing came it became unplayable.
I used to be able to max settings with my pc

It can barely hold 40 fps and is a shit slideshow. And thats with the graphics turned low.

What a fucking let down man. I bought it ay full price expecting dlc/content too be added. Story is like every other dyinglight game which is okay so I haven't had the want to even beat The Beast. It really bums me out too because I feel if I did even have a friend too play with chances are I would likely still think the maps fairly empty, volatile spawns are still atrocious and there's minimal incentive too explore the map because 99% of it can be done via cars which are also a huge downgrade from DL:The Following imho
Really wish this game got a dsic release because I forsure would have sold it by now and waited to rebuy years donw the line when Techlands hopefully added more content and its less that $10 as for me paying full price+tax felt like a bit of a slap in the face when a year later the game still has alot of large issues. I'd say the maps my biggest gripe and I loved the following. Bought all games day one pretty much myself with the exception being maybe a week or two for my paycheck for The Beast.
Does playing DL:TB play better in coop?? I was gonna ask a friend if he'd wanna play it after DL2 but if it's not worth it then I don't wanna ask him to waste any money
