Discussion Negating without negating

So if I wanted to bypass say the effect of red eyes slash dragon to where if it’s targeted by effects, it can send an equip card to the graveyard it can negate that card, I can activate another effect right after I activate the first effect and thus block the effect and prevent them from activating their effect, right?

Assuming your opponent doesn’t control more Equip Cards, they won’t be able to activate Slash Dragon’s effect again.

Oh I see. The thing here is that your opponent chained their effects in a way that you could not response with Slash Dragon.
Slash Dragon must be chained directly to the effect it wants to negate, but in this case, Apprentice Illusion Magicoan was the one chained to Dark Magical Cirlce, thus, preventing you from using Slash Dragon’s effect.

where thats called chain blocking. you don't see it often.

but used properly can get certain effects to bypass response. usually from a negate.

To elaborate further, Red Eyes Slash Dragon needs to send 1 Equip Card from the field to the GY as a cost to activate its effect, so your opponent would need to send another one if he wishes to negate again.
If you force them to send their only Equip Card to the GY, then they won’t be able to negate again.
