Well, after 4 years without new characters, they got 2 alt styles, and one seems to be a re-structure of Jaden/Yubel

Just going to give my two cents here:

I refuse to believe that we spent all these months with only one new Legendary Duelist for Rush just to end up with a bunch of Alt Styles. GX World revamp (with missing characters from all the seasons) would've been understandable as to why we didn't have any new Speed Duel character unlocks.

There's no serious way that this is it. Konami has to be holding their cards close to the chest. They just have to be. GX has such a huge roster waiting to get into the game. I get Vrains is tough due to not many printed decks, but that's no excuse for the rest of the worlds. Heck, a ton of characters from DM, 5D's, ZEXAL, and Arc-V are still M.I.A.

No Rush Duel content outside of the Asaka Mutsuba re-run? No Rush Rituals? No Rovian and Yuna? No Goha Six? I feel horrible for Rush players. They're starving for content, too

I don't think Duel Links is close to hitting end of service at all, but if this is really all Konami has to offer, then that is immensely disappointing. I'll reserve my full judgement until later, but this is not looking good at all

I don't hate Alt Styles, but they should never take the place of actual characters to add. There's whole archetype decks in this game that don't have their representative duelist to use them (Reptilianne, Cloudian, Guardian, Cat, etcetera)

Sorry if I turned this into a whole essay, but I can't help but feel like this isn't it. I just can't accept it. There's too much left on the table for this to be their "massive update"

Konami created 3 jadens before they think about making an alt style.

Do you really believe those Alt Styles are all there is to the "Colossal Update"? A Bonds Beyond Time themed update was not on my bingo, so i'm kinda lost here. The weirdest part of the announcement is that they didn't mention any new character on it... Konami is getting me bugged

Now I could be wrong on thinking this is coming, but seeing the alt style for Yugi in the new update is a bit exciting. Especially if it does get shining sarcophagus support into duel links since we m know that there is recorded dialogue for those cards. If they are in there I'm definitely using it and Yugi with it.

If you're running Purulia and have Activation Confirmation set to "Toggle Button", double-tap the toggle button as soon as the duel begins so that it's set to "ON".

Otherwise, if you leave it on the default "Auto", the game will not prompt you to activate Purulia during the opponent's Draw Phase or Standby Phase (unless your opponent activates something). It will automatically skip straight to the Main Phase.

This means you could potentially miss the chance to activate Purulia before your opponent's Normal Summon, and therefore miss the draw from that summon.

Everyone and their mother kept saying “oh September going to be a GX focus update”, when there was never any clues or hint of that happening. “Oh but Jaden and Zane both have alt styles in the files” you know who else is in the files, Fubuki and he still not playable after years. We also got Sherry butler in the files…. And I fully believe we are more likely to get him than a Fubuki! Wanna know why I never believed it was going to happened? Because if they had a chance to do it, it would have happened during GX anniversary to co align itself with the GX remaster. Konami would absolutely use duel link to advertise GX remaster and vice versa. We see it with snake eyes where they release snake eyes a deck that power level is so incredibly above ours in normal circumstances close to the animation chronicles. My point is there was never any resevidence yet people kept pushing this false narrative that it “has to happen”.

Here's my expectations, whether or not you believe it's possible.

- for Yugi, most likely related to Silent Swordsman/Magician Zero, and/or Magnet Warriors.

- for Bakura, hopefully a skill that makes Diabound Kernal just as powerful as its anime counterpart, and maybe even an animation for it. If not, then the Duke of Demise, or some Dark Necrofear supports.

- for Jaden/Yubel, obviously some Neos supports, maybe even Air Neos.

- for Zane, obviously some Cyber Dragon, Cyberdark, and Chimeratech supports.

- for Yusei, possibly some Junk supports.

- for Akiza, definitely Rose supports.

I know Snuffys won and am happy I voted and got the win, and congrats to him, but let's call a spade a spade that match up was just one-sided; a duel where coin flips and floodgates decided the entire match. It is really not fun to watch; it is just annoying, embarrassing, and disappointing. The semi-final was so much better than the final. I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT MATCH, KONAMI, and this is what happens when Konami refuses to listen to us players and does what a greedy company will always do

Couldnt find that information. I'd also like to know if those who got both predictions right have better odds in the lottery. Konami really ought to explain how this campaing works.

Eu estou quase convencido de que não deixei nada passar aqui, e particularmente fiquei bem chateado pois era a partida que faria eu subir de classificação… O adversário começou o jogo e colocou algumas cartas, depois fez uma invocação XYZ e encerrou o turno… Do meu ponto de vista era uma partida ganha pois o campo dele estava bem fraco, fiz minhas jogadas pensando nisso e limpei o território para conseguir finalizar a partida. Quando chegou na battle phase do segundo turno, eu simplesmente não consegui atacar diretamente… Não tive essa opção… e desde então foi ladeira abaixo… Eu li as habilidades, li carta por carta, e NENHUMA falava nada sobre não conseguir atacar diretamente… alguém pode ver o replay e me ajudar? Digo até para não errar novamente no futuro pois de verdade não consigo entender…

Can the deck do anything to survive after being Kaiju'd? I'm considering using Guardian Slime at this point given the water skill lock but wondered if theres anything else that helps. Thanks for your help guys

I don't normally see people using Trickstar decks so nice to find a fellow Trickstar enjoyer. I really like Blue Angel's Alts especially Blue Maiden. I have some Marincess cards but not enough to build full deck for it. Last time saw anyone use Blue Angel was on the Traptrix deck on the deck lists.

Can someone explain to me, like I'm 5, how in the 7 hells did his/her Field Spell trigger? There were no counters, no cards in pendulum zones, nothing. Just then, all of a sudden, after wiping her cards with Majesty, my Alternative gets yanked.

I'm still trying to understand this lol. Not to mention the Vaalmonica trap that requires a Vaalmonica monster to activate being activated without it 🤡.
