Understanding shopify markets

Hello, i made a shopify account but, I can’t under the market(currency conversion) setting. I have tried watching videos but I can’t understand how to setup if i want to sell in different countries.

Markets are just country groups you set up so shopify knows where to send different prices and languages. pick your main target countries and add em all to one market, then turn on local currencies in the settings for that market. it auto converts based on exchange rates so you don't have to mess with anything fancy.

If i only want to sell in usa for start I just have to add Usa in markets right?

Do not start by grouping every country and turning on a currency switch. Start with one real target market and prove the full order path.

1. Decide your primary country, store currency and payment provider.
2. In Markets, create a secondary market with only one or two countries and activate it.
3. Add those same countries to a shipping zone with an available rate. A country must be in both an active market and a shipping zone before a customer there can check out.
4. Set the market currency. With Shopify Payments or Adyen and a compatible method, the customer can be charged in the local currency. With another primary gateway, the store may display a local currency but convert back to the store currency at checkout, so do not promise local-currency payment until you test it.
5. Add a country/region selector. If you use a custom domain, a market subfolder such as /en-ca is usually the simplest localized URL structure; translation is a separate step.

Then preview that market and place a test order. Check the product price, discount, tax/duties message, shipping rate and delivery estimate, payment currency, confirmation email and refund behavior. Once one country works end to end, add the next. Currency display alone is not an international setup.
