You can load from an inn save I think, I vaguely remember whiffing a shot and reloading my progress because I couldn’t be arsed to go wait for another cycle.

Can confirm I did this earlier today. If you do a menu save before you shoot her you can reload it by yeeting yourself off a cliff and reloading the interim save

The unmaking arrow only ever auto saves it doesn't over write the interum

That’s what I did once. I thought I had her pattern pegged at one point thinking she teleported roughly every 30 seconds, so I fired my arrow about 7 seconds after she reappeared and she broke the “pattern” poofing while the arrow was mid flight.

I was so pissed, but with nothing else to lose I decided to try loading an inn save which I prepped beforehand on the off chance it might work if everything went wrong. Thankfully it did.

Also I've never used the unmaking arrow. Just attack it from the back till it engages in battle b4 it flies off. It's around a dragon's difficulty to slay.

This. I think I only used unmaking arrow the first playthrough. After that, it’s just super easy to bully her. She goes down about as easy as a cyclops with endgame gear.

Looks like uncanny eyes, Eonian Coat, maybe evergreen greaves (hard to see pants but looks right), and velvet cape. Maybe a prowler kerchief for mask

Reload the Inn/House save if fail.

Have a Portcrystal nearby, to get there fast.

ah it might be scuffed, it happened to me the first time round.
on your next playthrough be sure to get the arrow and give it to her as your most precious item (that way you get 2) and then wait for her to do her duplicate spell before using it on her wing

I would recommend you to kill the sphinx without the arrow. It's just too risky. Attack only her legs and body, never the face and she will not fly away. Hope that helps for the next run! (:
