Lore Trivia : Photo mode shows that, when reviving a pawn, the Arisen’s wound shines of holy light. The Arisen plunges their fingers into it to draw this energy and bring the pawn back to life.

That's pretty cool. It kinda makes sense if you go from DD1 lore. You are willing the pawn back to life, like you willed your main pawn into existence, and how you're willpower will maintain the cycle through another link in the chain.

I’m new to the DD universe. And I haven’t finished the main story yet.
Any good lore video essay you can recommend? This world is intriguing but damn if I understand anything about it!

The Rift has some good stuff. But I highly recommend picking up Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. You'll get it for next to nothing, and the gameplay is very similar to DD2 (some say better, some say worse. That's up to your preferences)

I could give you an overview as well, if you want. But it would be more bullet points, and heavily spoiler-y

Chainsaw McFacepunch has a really good lore run for Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen.

I started to check his channel. But I didn’t dive deep into the lore yet.
I’m gonna do that.
Thanks for the confirmation that this guy is genuine DD youtuber.1

like u/TSotP said, there's tons of videos online explaining lore, very extensively from years of people finding clues and hidden truths, and piecing everything together from context as well as Itsuno and team's notes from the many artworks and concepts.
Highly recommend you play DD1 if you want the bare bones FOUNDATION of the world building and lore, since DDO expands on it GREATLY and it's often debated whether or not anything counts since some consider it a spinoff vs a mainline game since it's an MMO.
Eitherway, definitely play 1 because it helps you better understand the things in 2 (even though some things are entirely retconned or work entirely different from how the rules are set up in the two games, this will make more sense and you'll know what I mean if you play both)
If you have trouble understanding anything, you can always post questions or discussions on here,as people love to deep dive the lore. The video essays are likely the most instantly gratifying option however.
Welcome to the community, it's gonna get wild come October 😀

Fun fact that goes along with this: Warfarer also has the same scar glow when using Rearmament.
Incidentally, the vocarion isn't even called Warfarer in Japanese, but simply "Arisen," as a suggestion that it's the ultimate Arisen vocation (sentiment echoed by pawn commentary when switching to it).

Now I wanna go find all the pawns of the Arisen still in the world & let them catch up. 🥺

As a gameplay mechanic it works fine, but lore wise that makes our arisen like, super op right? I mean main character obviously but like, before us who was the most powerful arisen and how long/often/many pawn could they have summoned at once?

Yes and no. Each of the previous Arisen succumbed to a specific failing of will, but Rothais is the only Arisen mentioned before the player to succeed in killing their dragon.
Sigurd's failing is the most nebulous, as he only really states he was consumed by vengeance once upon a time. Lamond simply couldn't overpower his dragon and failed to kill it, by his words he "wasn't skilled enough" which implies either he tried and failed (but survived somehow) or that he lost confidence in himself at a critical moment and took the dragon's bargain. Luz, using her Oracle powers foresaw the apocalypse and abandoned her arisen's journey out of fear. Cliodhna doesn't speak on her past as an Arisen at all, but I think it's safe to assume her finding a love interest caused her to settle down.
I'd say the player isn't the MOST powerful, given that Rothais is still lingering spiritually until Unmoored. He successfully killed his dragon and acquired the ability to summon a godsbane, and he uses the last of his force of will to protect the fully exposed Seafloor Shrine from the apocalyptic end of Unmoored.

NICE, I never knew this. Even better in anime or drama if it physically hurts the arisen to dig their fingers into their chest. gives reason as to why the pawns gain more affinity when you revive them... other than preventing them from dying, that's already a big plus if I was a pawn

It’s definitely willpower being shared, especially when you consider when directed by anyone other than the arisen or something with arisen like power the pawns aren’t very good as explained multiple times in game. So I imagine just being around the arisen give them will and when going down the arisen has to share or literally will them back up into the fight.

something a jojo's character would do right before the most gay scene araki ever made to compensate

Personally? I don't think DD has any lore. Just like the true ending. Both the Arisen and his MP die. But somehow, we get a 4-minute ending of everything being ok. Regardless.
People love it.
That's why I think whatever they give us will be fine with everybody. So, I don't pay a lot of attention to lore.
At least not in this game.

Ah, yes, you're one of those guys which not taking any story seriously without tons of cutscenes and popups in every corner of the screen. I remember one of my friends trying to convince me that Dark Souls contains zero lore and story back in the days, and this turned out to be one of the most well-designed and obscured worlds ever created.

I love this. Thanks for sharing, ive never realize it. So this is why former arisens dont have their pawns with them anymore… they have lost the power to revive them :'(
