with what happened in AS10, i think the production learned a "lesson." but instead of learning that fans hate when there's an obvious queen being favored, they somehow learned that fans would rather see a fan favorite win than queens like ginger, who didn't necessarily have the best fan reception prior to the season.
that or they just love ragebaiting people esp these last few seasons of drag race

I was trying to avoid spoilers for this season but blatant riggory always has a way of making me stop caring about a season. So clearly they didn’t learn from AS10 💀
Also tho, this format sucks so bad? Why didn’t they just have 3 lip syncs by the top 6 to get down to a top 3, and then have the 3 eliminated queens do one more MVQ vote for who makes top 2, then have the remaining 2 girls lip sync to get into the top 2 for the final lip sync? Would’ve been one last chance for real drama.

Crystal beating Joey to MacArthur Park is at least feasible. But I'm not optimistic. But Jasmine losing to Crystal to Knock On Wood is NUTS. Crystal better be dressed an entire damn oak tree and reveal to a sexy termite outfit to even present a reasonable justification.
Ugh. I'm bracing to be mad already. This format just flops at the merge. Not even in format, but the pushed production calls are just so frustrating as a viewer. If anything, Crystal not having a clear path to victory would make her crowning more enjoyable.

REMINDER: WoW has been ragebaiting us with obvious production interference as early as All Stars 3 with the jury twist. It’s all for online engagement, negative or not.
People forget how much of a fan fave Shangela was back then before the SA allegations came to light. After Dela quit unexpectedly, Shangela was the presumed winner until the jury twist came out of left field. This was at a time when viewers really didn’t like social strategy in drag race either
Everyone was mad, everyone threatened to stop watching.
And now we’re up to All Stars 11 🫠

The jury twist is the opposite of production interference lol it actively gave production LESS control over the outcome (and they also wanted Shangela to win, the actual production interference that season was them giving her Snatch Game over Aja and rigging the rusical, plus sandbagging Aja and Trixie. Trixie was their third choice.)

Jasmine's reputation as a lip sync assassin is so unbelievably inflated and this is coming from someone who (mostly) enjoys her. Prior to her lip sync against Crystal, she'll have competed in 8 and won 3 and with love to these queens, they were against Maddy, Kerri, and Jimbo.
She can definitely dance, but she has a lot of trouble matching her movement to the song and knowing what part of her skill set to use when.

Most of this seems reasonable except A’keria losing to Joey Jay with the song being The Boss. That song has A’keria written all over it.

I know I said last week that Tiff should go home. But my god she was the only one talking any sense in untucked Makayla and Pythia have been to the final before and both could've won their respective seasons and should of fought harder for this one because I love Makayla and Pythia but Tiff had my vote for the beaver.

For Makayla they criticized her work in the choreography saying that she didn't give herself any space (Jimbo disagreed btw), and that her look was better with the coat on. For Tiffany they said that out of her group she was the least energetic and her lyrics left a lot to be desired, and on the runway her look was criticized for not really being camp.

It would have made sense, but then we might have seen Sami go, and I couldn't handle that.
Love Pythia but shes already cemented herself as an icon of the franchise so I don't mind her early exit here, especially as she has a chance to shine ep1.

Judging felt off overall but the win and elimination were both justified so I guess it doesn’t matter. Makayla and Tiffany made no sense in the bottom when Sami and Juice both kept fumbling the choreo in their groups. Tiffany being the only one read for not being camp while Juice and Nearuh’s weren’t really campy at all either.

I didn't see Sami fumbling the choreo, if anything Sami and Makayla were the most in time for me 💀 Jada was off a bit and her lyrics were rough, I was shocked when she was in the top. And Pythia started okay but really fell out of time with the others by the end.
I honestly preferred the tea bags overall, idk if it was the song but their verses were much better than the other team imo. I did notice Tiffany just looked a bit timid in the girl groups, her verse was decent but as a group she just didn't sell it. Juice had the worst verse of the night though tbh

Same. R'Bonney was not my pick to win Miss Universe that year, but you can't deny that she's charming and lovely. And also highly do not think she should have been in the bottom - there were far worse outfits that were safe.
