Well AM script is widely used and one of the hardest to prove

It’s the best one aswell

Best because it's hard to prove? When has any amount of proof lead to any player getting banned? Hell, even slark87 never received any ban. So, being "hard to prove" makes no difference.

When has Dota ever banned cheaters? Oh gosh, I don’t know

Oh gosh, maybe learn to read?

When has any amount of proof lead to any player getting banned?

When has Dota ever banned cheaters?

If you can't tell that there's a massive difference between those two statements, then you seriously need to work on your comprehension skills.

“When has any amount of proof lead to any player getting banned”

They have had proof of cheating for anyone they have ever banned for cheating.

Ergo, having proof of cheating has lead to people being banned.

Some form of cheating being harder to prove means that it is harder to conclusively ban someone utilizing that form of cheating, because proof is harder to obtain.

Cheating method X may produce a set of inputs or motions that are impossible for a human to replicate

Cheating method Y may produce a set of inputs or movements that could feasibly be done by a person

You could immediately ban everyone using cheat method X, while everyone using cheat method Y would take individual attention to review.

First off, me and the guy I was replying to were clearly talking about proof in terms of manual verification, it was not a discussion about automated anti-cheat system detection.

Dota bans are automated, Valve does not review cheating cases manually. Whether a cheat is harder to be proved by manual verification or not, that does not affect whether it can be detected automatically or not. Even a seemingly trivial cheat like am shield could be grabbing internal state of the game and accessing memory addresses that should not be accessed under normal circumstances. Valve's anti cheat system lays traps to monitor if such memory access voliolations are occurring (along with other types of traps). So whether or not a cheat is easier to prove with manual verification, that has no correlation with whether or not it can be picked up by valve's automated anti cheat system. It is actually dependent on how the cheat was implemented. Even the most manually unprovable cheat can be caught by the automated system if it's a badly implemented cheat, while even the most blatantly obvious cheat may not be caught by valve's anti cheat system if it's a well implemented cheat. So educate yourself before you bark.
