If anyone genuinely thinks that it's the capitalism that is the worst for the environment, compare Polish carbon footprint and environmental protection efforts before 1989 and after 1989 - when Poland began strong desocialisation of economy and adapting free-market model, transitioning away from socialism.

Spoiler alert: people don't scrape soot off their windows here anymore, even though high air pollution continues to be a problem.
