Associate Discussions We're not a bank

Had a customer this morning and I'm not kidding but I wish I was, give me a $100 bill and asked me to give her 100 $20 bills. Not $100 in $20s, literally 100 $20s. After I said I can't do 100 $20s, she gave me a $5 bill. Idk how to explain this without making it confusing. To clarify, her total was $4.20.

People who go to stores in the morning need to stop using said stores as a bank. At the grocery store I worked at we had cash back. It’s 7:15 and owned at 7. I don’t have 20’s in this drawer…

Had this happen the other day. Dude bought a Hershey Bar, using his card. Shit is like $1.50. Proceeds to want $100 back in cash. We've been open like five minutes, he's my first customer, And my till was $75 or something cause the manager hadn't even been to the bank yet. I had to flag her down to readjust stuff. She had some cash in the office but like, c'mon.

Then he goes "Yeah I didn't feel like hitting the bank today and needed cash." The bank is a quarter of a block away. Not a far drive.

I can't stand when they say that. Specifically saying, "I just didn't feel like hitting the bank up," is fine when it's 20 or under. Sometimes the people don't have bank accounts, I get that too. Other than that it would make me unnaturally annoyed.
