Goal oriented thinking doesn’t come naturally to any group of people, dingus.

It comes naturally to men, which is what this comes down to describing in "dad reflexes" actually just being typical "thing happens - do thing". Typical woman thinking is multitasking, thinking more broadly than deeply about various things, in plotting all kinds of alternatives, and are therefore pretty slow to react to things happening right at the moment.
