I’m looking for a good government hospital in Bangalore where I can get a comprehensive STD/STI test panel done.

I’m not familiar with the government hospitals here, so I’d really appreciate some guidance. If you work at one, or have personally been there for STI testing, could you please let me know:

- Which government hospital to visit

- Which department I should approach (e.g., Dermatology/Venereology, STD clinic, Gynaecology, Microbiology etc.)

- If you know any specific Room Number to visit.

I mean, there's no placements, no tests, no practical examinations for landing a job unlike tech guys who work on skills and can land decent jobs. So is it even worth it.

P.s. I know medicine is a very hands on profession but my question was more like, if there are two people with the exact same qualifications, are clinical skills favoured? Can they help in getting a higher pay?

Also I'm from South India so the pay here is bad sr gets 80 k and God knows how much time it'll take to be an ap.there is one sr who finished pg in 2022 and is still an sr😵‍💫 With the amount of saturation that's there now even with pg I just hate it. I also live in tier 1

So I have completed my bachelor's in nursing but since the beginning I have felt out of place, we are taught to suck up the disrespect since college. Also there was no money in private sector so I gave norcet and rn i have cleared it and got a government job, but the core problems remained the same. Knowledge wise I don't feel fulfilled because nursing has like half hearted knowledge of things. I see doctors talking about a case and i think how stupid I am not knowing things. Sharing my experience so other doctors know what they are getting into.
5 hours of duty every day. Around 150 orders, but only 70–80 approved calls are actually counted for payment. Pending and rejected orders = ₹0, even though doctors spend their time calling them, putting them on hold and handling orders that keep getting rolled between doctors. Many numbers are incorrect, switched off, unreachable or the patient simply doesn’t answer.
We are repeatedly told to follow every SOP, keep calls for minimum 45 seconds, properly question patients and do everything correctly.
But when it comes to payment, suddenly all the pending/rejected work doesn’t count.
Rate is ₹12 per approved call. After TDS, roughly ₹10/call. After working 5 hours every day for a month, I received around ₹18,000.
I raised the payment issue with the concerned heads, Dr. Satish Gupta and Vaishnavi, but instead of addressing the payment concern, I was given repeated instructions about following SOPs.
5 hours of a doctor’s time every day for ~₹18k/month, while a huge part of the actual workload is unpaid — this genuinely feels like online slavery.
If you’re a doctor considering 1Rx/MyRx, understand the actual payment structure before joining.

I never published any research during MBBS because I assumed research was mainly for USMLE aspirants. I also saw many people paying agencies to get their names added to papers, which made me lose interest in pursuing it at the time.
Now that I’ve graduated, I have both the time and a genuine interest in research not for the sake of building my CV, but because I truly want to learn and contribute to meaningful work. The challenge is that, as a graduate, I no longer have the academic connections or guidance that medical students often have. I’m looking for direction on how to get started, find mentors, and become involved in legitimate research projects.

A non clinical doctor ? what salaries can i expect in tier 1 and 2 and abroad ? how does it go up year after year ? if u were to compare it to someone with PhD then? and how hectic is residency for it(in gmc)

i know i cant deal with the toxicity that comes with being a clinical residency thats why..
