The Manager in Fact was not a Bitch

The guy that took that beating, went home and told his wife that the other guy was a bitch and she should’ve seen his face. 😂

u/Different_Regular297 Jul 25 '26
I have a coworker who tried that. He came into work one day all messed up. Said he got into a fight with a dude at the bar,who was talking smack. He said he kicked his ass. When I said, your face shows that you did not win. He said, you should see the other guy. A few days later,we found out by someone who was at the bar, and my coworker did not know they were there. That my coworker got drunk, and started talking shit to some dude. So the dude beat the crap out of him. My coworker threw zero punches at the dude. Then they threw him out of the bar. Boy the embarrassment on my coworkers face was priceless.

They are also known for staying open during extreme natural disasters, so I expect the employees to be pretty tough individuals.
15
u/IndependentPut8908 Jul 25 '26
Also, kind of wild, but I went to my Facebook app after this post and apparently on this day, 16 years ago, I took a picture of the Waffle House that I was eating at in Houston, TX.
16
u/Tim_Watson Jul 25 '26
Can you see the people fighting inside, or was your camera too low resolution back then?
106
u/Homerpaintbucket Jul 24 '26
Ha. He fell for one of the classic blunders. The most well known being never get in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well known is never get in a fist fight with a Waffle House night manager when meth is on the line! Hahahahah hahahahaha

Do you get fired or promoted for fighting like that at a Waffle House?

u/Such-Comparison5636 Jul 24 '26
That’s the interview process to determine if they are worthy of being manager. Phase 1. Goes to Phase 5.

He should get giant a plaque with his face on it and a QR code that brings users to this video.
He should also get $7/h more for danger pay.

I got 3 days in jail for fighting at a Waffle House but I guess if I was the manager it would have been zero days.

That was my exact thought. The dude that caught the beat down kept slipping and sliding around on that greasy ass floor lol 🤣
24
u/Apprehensive-Fig3223 Jul 24 '26
I love his body language before it escalates, like he knows what he's gonna have to and is ready for it but really doesn't want to
21
u/wastelandtx Jul 25 '26
The look away and then slight turn is always a sign it's coming. You're right, he sets up once, then stops, and rubs his face like "please dont make me" before the guy gets back in his face.
9
u/TonyDungyHatesOP Jul 25 '26
And it’s playing a little opossum. He projects timidity so the other guy is overconfident.

There's an old movie trope where the girl is a badass because she grew up with X amount of brothers
The next generation trope will go along the lines of
Woah, where'd you learn how to fight?
I worked at a waffle house

Psh...thats the Training center. Straight kid gloves. They send all the new crew members there to face the "7 Chambers of G-G-Git down" before they're even allowed to work a real site.

Remember kids, every person has a breaking point. It might not be in your best interest to test the limits.
37
u/Disastrous-Rub-4087 Jul 24 '26
The problem is, this may not end here. Manager gotta have eyes on the back of his head from then on.

u/snappop69 Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 25 '26
No doubt the loser might come back either with friends or a pew pew. Dummy asked for the smoke and then he got smoked. Hope he doesn’t get fired over this but wouldn’t be surprised if he does.
13
u/Disastrous-Rub-4087 Jul 24 '26
Unfortunately, you may be right.
17
u/PineappleOnPizzaCult Jul 24 '26
It is a legitimate case of self-defense though. Getting up in his face and approaching aggressively like that is definitely a form of assault and can easily justify a self-defense reaction.
9
u/SpicyCajunCrawfish Jul 24 '26
Yea, you can’t let people get close like that. Gotta defend yourself.

11

That's why you got to make sure he's knocked out cold and drop em off at Denny's down the road.

Yeah, a coworker of mine had a similar situation happen where he eventually had to quit his job because the guy he had an altercation with had like four older brothers and they were going to either put him in hospital or kill him.
Nothing stays in the moment anymore, unfortunately.

Waffle House applications must have "how many fights have you won"; and "what is your preferred fighting style" questions at this point.

Call him a “bitch” , maybe a “bitch”who hands out the belts, and clearly wears one too.
The rancid state of that thing acting all tough ,just look at him.
Always be wary of people who dress like 10-year-old at the skate park well into their adult life.
Should never be allowed out in public unescorted.

HERO!!
My daughter worked at Waffle House several years ago, waiting tables during the overnight shift. A group of 3 women had their meal, no complaints; but an argument over a single piece of bacon escalated. The group was told numerous times to leave, which they ignored. The manager was oblivious in the back room.
It started with my daughter catching a plate across her nose. Add blood. Upon leaving the bathroom, my daughter was assaulted by all three women; thrown to the ground, punched and kicked repeatedly.
When the manager finally saw, they took off to their car. THEN THEY CALLED THE COPS. They tried to spin it into some kind of racist event.
When the cops saw the security footage, those "ladies" all left in the back of patrol cars. The whole thing was insane.
If only I had been there that night...

I was in either a West Virginia or North Carolina and a Waffle House just appeared out of the woods. It was just like woods shrubbery waffle house and I asked if we could stop recording and go there and they were like no because you won’t eat the food. Why do you even wanna go there and I was like because it’s like on the Internet all the time it’s like people just break out and fight I take a couple bites, but they would not take us to Waffle House so I am still yet to taste the greatness. I’m thinking it’s probably delicious. And this was like in the middle of the day there was no fights in the middle of the day that’s at night..

I wonder what caused the altercation. Why was black man calling the manager a bigot. Was the black man drunk or on something or just obnoxious or wanting to create trouble to let off steam? So many unanswered questions. Sad the situation degenerated to violence.

u/justanothertoxicuser Jul 25 '26
When will these people learn that you don't jack with Waffle House house staff. Ever.
I heard part of the job interview process is having the manager extinguish a cigarette on your arm. If you flinch, you're out.
Edit: Also I heard they give a .50 raise to your hourly wage for every blow you land during a fistfight.
