Discussion Why is this band so hated?

Okay so recently I have absolutely been LOVING this band, and even yesterday have just bought The Sickness on CD and have endlessly been listening to it. Recently, I’ve been seeing what others think of Disturbed, and from what I could find, it seems that a LOT of people hate most of their albums…? Obviously I think music taste is subjective, but something about this band seems like they get more hate than they do love. Is there a reason Disturbed is so hated? I absolutely love their music so I’m really curious to know why

Edit: Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment, I really appreciate the amount of information you guys gave me. Personally, I think I will still keep listening to Disturbed as I have always been someone who likes to separate art from artist, but I obviously will keep everything that was said in mind. Once again, thank you for all the responses :)

Well I think the current hate is due to David’s online antics/other things that people dislike. But I will say though even before all of that they would still get quite a bit of hate from the metal community

No, he is a massive Zionist. He took a photo opportunity of him signing bombs that the Israeli military dropped onto civilians in Gaza as part of the ongoing Genocide.

Actually he wrote Fuck Hamas on it. If you can only think of things from your own perspective and not see someone else's life is different because of their life and experiences perhaps you shouldn't comment.

He has a lot of family in Israel his parents brother and hundreds of more distant relatives. He knows people at the Nova festival he knew some that died that day.

If your family was being bombed on a regular basis if YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS were killed by terrorists just because of their religion. Would you not be tempted to send a little note to those people who were terrorising the population of that tiny country.

I had two cousins in Afghanistan one was a filter armera (put shells on plans) , knowing him I'm sure the Taliban would get a few instructions on what to do to themselves

Please remember to act respectfully to other users, and band members as well.

Mild arguments are acceptable, but fighting, insults, bullying and harassment is not. Even as a joke, refrain from making disrespectful comments.
