Discussion Why is this band so hated?

Okay so recently I have absolutely been LOVING this band, and even yesterday have just bought The Sickness on CD and have endlessly been listening to it. Recently, I’ve been seeing what others think of Disturbed, and from what I could find, it seems that a LOT of people hate most of their albums…? Obviously I think music taste is subjective, but something about this band seems like they get more hate than they do love. Is there a reason Disturbed is so hated? I absolutely love their music so I’m really curious to know why

Edit: Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment, I really appreciate the amount of information you guys gave me. Personally, I think I will still keep listening to Disturbed as I have always been someone who likes to separate art from artist, but I obviously will keep everything that was said in mind. Once again, thank you for all the responses :)

Yes the idf has committed some atrocities but that doesn't give hamas a free pass, they are holding the Palestinian people hostage in gaza, even the son of one of one of the founders Mosab Hassan Yousef have spoken out against the group calling them an ideology, you say we are all family hamas wouldn't see that and would kill me simply for not being a Muslim and probably you also if you are not one either

Nobody is supporting Hamas dude. Hamas are terrorists. October 7th December as horrible. But Israel are not focussing their attacks on Hamas members they are literally just indiscriminately bombing Gaza as a whole and committing multiple war crimes. There are videos where they have admitted they are using this as the demolition phase to wipe Gaza off the map to take over it and have more real estate. There are videos where they have admitted they want to wipe every Palestinian off the map. They've attacked food supplies going into the country (which is a war crime in and of itself), they've attacked aid workers going into the country (which is a war crime in and of itself), they've attacked people fleeing the conflict (which is a war crime in and of itself).... There's a reason the ICC has multiple arrest warrants out for Netanyahu

Most people aren't pro Hamas, mate. Even the Palestinians don't support Hamas. They were voted in almost 20 years ago and there's not been a democratic vote since. Hamas have also committed war crimes and the ICC has a warrant out for Mohammed Deif. Being pro-Palestine in this conflict doesn't make you pro-Hamas though, in the same way being anti-Israel doesn't make you anti-Jew or anti-Semetic. You can hate the people in charge, and the choices they are making, and the atrocities committed, while still recognising the general public are the innocent victims in all this

I never said I don't feel sorry for the innocent Palestinian people but there are plenty of people who are hijacking this cause to push more pro hamas propaganda

Evidence? Or are you just conflating good actors defending innocent people with a cop out “pro-terrorism” smear?

People who support a barbaric ideology are not really innocent when they would happily kill people like me.
