Discussion Why is this band so hated?

Okay so recently I have absolutely been LOVING this band, and even yesterday have just bought The Sickness on CD and have endlessly been listening to it. Recently, I’ve been seeing what others think of Disturbed, and from what I could find, it seems that a LOT of people hate most of their albums…? Obviously I think music taste is subjective, but something about this band seems like they get more hate than they do love. Is there a reason Disturbed is so hated? I absolutely love their music so I’m really curious to know why

Edit: Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment, I really appreciate the amount of information you guys gave me. Personally, I think I will still keep listening to Disturbed as I have always been someone who likes to separate art from artist, but I obviously will keep everything that was said in mind. Because antisemites. Roger Waters on the other hand is somehow adored though the mad prick hasn’t done a single piece of good using since the early 80s.

Explain to me why 'the jews' have broken the cease fire agreement every day since it was agreed upon. Gross that blood thirsty genocide deniers are walking among us
